Little country pub and what a gem to find for a business stop off. Great atmosphere in the pub, good local beer, great food and menu and a great cooked breakfast. Will definitely stay again

Really quaint old inn with lots of exposed stone walls & beams. Staff were super friendly & helpful - really warm welcome & nothing was too much trouble. Bed very comfortable & the small double room I had was perfect just for me. Food in the restaurant was delicious & there was a good choice. Breakfast plentiful, well presented & hearty. Will be staying there again on my way to Devon

Nice room. Excellent food. Plenty of parking. The only problem we had was that the WiFi didn’t reach to the bedroom. It worked fine in the restaurant.

This Inn is a olde style building with wooden beams in the bedrooms etc. As such with this type of building there are low ceilings and hardly a straight wall anywhere. We found that our room although quaint wasn’t spotless as other places we’ve stayed. One of the two window blinds didn’t work, we couldn’t get it to drop down. Not a huge issue as the other blind did close. The biggest issue for us was that one of the two electric fans in the room was so dirty that if you had switched it on the layers of dust on it would have flown around the room. In saying this, we had booked a meal for the night we stayed, the food was excellent and the entire place filled with customers, a sure sign of quality food. The breakfast the next morning was excellent with plenty of choice. The full English we had was cooked to order and arrived hot, would highly recommend.

We would highly recommend staying at The white lion inn. It provides all you could need and more. The inn had a very eclectic design and interesting furniture and pictures. 10/10 facilities in are room which made use feel very comfortable. We had a meal at the inn and it did not let use down highly recommended. Lovely garden at the back for sitting out in when weather is warm. We would definitely stay again.

Fantastic service from the staff. Excellent service and location. Would definitely recommend. Great supper and wow! The breakfast was superb. Lovely place and great attitude to guests.
