"INCREDIBLE spot in Brienz - this far exceeded our expectations! Host was communicative, responsive and quick to assist. The outdoor living space (which isn't pictured) is actually a quite nice little patio where you do in fact have a small view of Lake Brienz. We loved sitting out at night and watching the sun set over the water. Washer/dryer combo was amazing, and yes, the power goes off to them for noise regulation after 8PM, but as long as you start your cycle before 8PM, it will complete it. I was worried that it would cut off, but it completed it, which is helpful when you've been out all day hiking. Coop is a 2-minute walk, and train station 3-4 minutes. There is no AC but host provided us with fan upon request, so it was comfortable. This place is perfect for a family of 4. I would stay here again in a heartbeat."

"We Miamians were unprepared for just how hot it would be in Iseltwald in early July in a heatwave. There was no AC (which is our natural state in the 305) and it took some getting used to but we survived. We came by car and parking was good. The road leading to the hostel (which was more like a driveway) was quite narrow and we were unprepared for it. We would soon learn that narrow streets are common in Europe and everyone is much more courteous that what we are accustomed to. Biggest issue was some sort of party nearby (on a Friday night, to be fair) that was quite noisy until past 3:00 am. It would have been fine with us but we had to check out the next day. It looks like we brought Miami vibes and weather to Switzerland when we went. Oh well."

"Fantastic property in Brienz. We were very happy we chose to stay in the quieter town of Brienz. This place is great if you rent a car - ample parking and no extra cost. Hosts were incredibly kind and helpful. Perfect setup for a family with kids or people who want their own single beds. We woke up our last morning to hoofbeats outside our window. Bliss. :)"

"The location is amazing! We were so happy to get away from crowded spaces part way through our vacation. The property is located on a small ski resort and as suggested by the host, it would be best to arrive during daylight hours. The drive up the hill is narrow at times and winding but manageable. The property is located near some great hiking trails and really close to a cute restaurant that has the best soft serve ice cream I've ever had. The hosts were wonderful and really attentive. The only negative was that the space was a bit small for 3 adults but we would stay here again. I already miss having my morning coffee outside in the quiet looking at the mountains."

"This hotel was very nice. The room was adequate for the two nights that we spent there. The complimentary breakfast was excellent. The only negative thing was that the rooms were not air conditioned and it was very hot there. The doors/windows needed to stay open to let in some air and the road that the hotel is on is pretty busy. So if you are a light sleeper, the noise from the road might bother you. The beds also were very firm which we also are not used to. The hotel is in a great location and the staff was very friendly"
