Our perfect honeymoon getaway!!!

I was looking for a romantic bed and breakfast to stay at during our Honeymoon and Hickory Bridge Farm did NOT disappoint. About 20 minutes outside of Gettysburg it's far enough away from the hustle of downtown, but close enough to venture there and enjoy it as well. We stayed in one of the cottages down the road from the farmhouse and it was cozy, private and just perfect for an escape. A huge king size bed, jetted tub, fireplace and the cleanest room we ever stayed in awaited our arrival. My wife and i enjoyed the porch with rocking chairs, after dark a bottle of wine and the sounds of nature and the creek out back made the perfect night. The staff were the most courteous and kindest people, breakfast was hand delivered to our cottage on our last day there... we're already planning on going back next year. I can't recommend this place highly enough.

The property was quiet and secluded. It is a nice little getaway. However,We had heard about their wonderful restaurant but was surprised to learn it was closed. The restaurant was only open on the weekend, we stayed on a Tuesday. The television only worked for DVDs.

This place is just fantastic. The grounds are beautiful, the staff are friendly and helpful, the owner is welcoming and knowledgeable, the room was clean and comfortable. The bed was amazing! Breakfast each morning was a great way to start the day and the restaurant served a delicious meal. I recommend the bread pudding for dessert, it was just like grandma used to make.

Enjoy and Relax

Hickory Bridge Farm is abut 9 miles out from Gettysburg in the peaceful countryside with the exception of a train once in a while. We stayed in the farm house across from the restaurant. It was nice to sit on the patio and listen to the brook that runs right next to the farm house. Dinner in the restaurant is family style and very good. This is the place to go to get away from the rush and noise of the city and suburbs.
