"We had a great trip. Charcoal grill and fire pit in the little back area gravel space. It was cold the first night, I recommend bringing a small space heater or extra blanket, but the heater kept up fine the second night. Great stay! Cute and cozy place to relax."
"This cabin is perfect! Everything listed about it is accurate. We will refer this listing and we intend to return! We had a great hike and it’s the perfect place to just relax."
"I can't say enough wonderful things about my stay here. The room was absolutely charming, with a king bed, jacuzzi tub, and a balcony with the spectacular river view. The complimentary breakfast served was a full, real country breakfast and delicious. Every staff member I met was more than gracious, kind, and hospitable-- each of them made my visit even more of a delight. Dinner at the restaurant was perfection: from the incredible views, the perfectly cooked steak, the (highly recommended) pot roast and potatoes with gravy, to the giant pretzel appetizer, the key lime pie, and the impeccable service, everything was fabulous. Even the hostess won me over with her thoughtfulness. The bourbon bar was an added bonus!
5 stars! I can't wait to come back."
Rustic Updated Cabin in the Heart of the Appalachian High Country
10/10 Excellent
"Good location for accessing hiking, shopping & recreation nearby. Cabin is nicely removed from the road for a secluded feeling & the small stream & hills are bonuses. It gets very dark at night which allows for great stargazing. The cabin itself is homey & comfortable overall, although one night dipped into the low 20s & it seemed like the heating system struggled to keep up. We utilized the bathrooms heaters as well which helped offset the chill somewhat. The back deck area is nice & faces the stream/hills. Great for morning coffee. The firepit is down a hill right next to the stream which was a nice location, however there weren't any chairs around the pit so we had to carry them down from the deck. A previous renter must have left the grill open at some point, as when we uncovered it there was some sort of nest built in it. The propane valve had also been left open and apparently emptied itself as the grill wouldn't light. There was another tank in the storage but we couldn't tell if it was full or not & decided not to hassle with it. It was great to have laundry on site however the storage room had a strong musty odor that was apparent in some of the linens. The cleaning person had also left old laundry in the way & didn't adequately replenish the toilet paper and paper towels, so we felt like whomever is hired to clean & prepare the property had kind of dropped the ball. Overall though we really enjoyed our stay and the owner Rosemary was very friendly and helpful. "
