Enjoyed Our Stay
I must take issue with the two guests that gave poor reviews. We found the cabin in good condition, only minor issues that in no way compromised safety nor nice accommodations. There was one missing stairway post and a couple that were loose, but stairs are made with 3" & 5" posts and rails, very sound and sturdy. All decking was solid, no rot around hot tub. Hot tub was enjoyed each night of our stay. All appliances were in good working order. Fridge did not have ice maker nor trays, we purchased bagged ice. WiFi/Internet worked well. Satellite connections on all TVs except one in a lower floor bedroom. Remotes all worked, though Rec Room TV remote couldn't be located - did not miss use of it. We were there to enjoy the seclusion, time together, and area sites, we were not there to stream video. All lighting worked and was ample. Gravel section of road leading up to cabin was steep, but would be easily accessed by sedan most of the time. In wintry conditions, vehicles should be equipped with at least a snow mode, AW/4W vehicles should have little to no difficulty. This is to be expected and planned for when traveling in mountainous areas. The outdoor fire area has no seating, so bring along your camp chairs. There is enough TP and paper towels to get started, but we brought extra along with other paper goods for the kitchen. The kitchen is stocked pretty well with glass/plastic ware, utensils, pots/pans, crockpot, blender, toaster, etc. The owner did advise that the fireplaces are scheduled for demo and replacement, so they were not in working order, but we were very comfortable with the heating system. No broken beds, one reported to creak some. Actually has king bed in main suite. Others are queens. The half bath exhaust fan was very noisy, but had 3 other full baths to use.
As stated, minor issues that can be expected in most any rental, but did not compromise our stay in any way. We had a wonderful time with family. Plenty of room to all gather together, even if sitting in different areas of the main living area, we could still enjoy one another. With the two levels, there was also space enough to separate and enjoy doing different things or some quiet time. Rockers on the two decks. Very nice time!
