Stunning chalet with almost everything brand new!

Approx 1.5 miles direct to Downtown Gatlinburg. and the entrance to The Great Smoky Mountains National Park with super easy access, virtually no traffic getting there. AND we are located about 0.5 miles to Ober Gatlinburg, Tennessee’s only Ski Resort!

This exceptional vacation rental is great for families.

Arcade Room with Pac-Man and Centipede Arcade Games! Loft game room with a modern foosball table. We offer board games and card games, so much for children (and adults!) to enjoy!

The chalet offers a refreshing, spa-like atmosphere with an amazing, oversized indoor two person whirlpool tub, a Luxury Shower Panel complete with rainfall shower head and body jets.

There is also a covered, very private “Back Porch Spa” just for two, complete with ambiance lighting. A perfect way to end the day for quite time and relaxation. L

Fully equipped kitchen with an additional refrigerator in Pantry/Laundry area, dining room table, sunroom for reading, watching TV or visiting with family.

Sit on the front deck and covered front porch and enjoy the sounds of Buckberry Creek while you have your morning coffee and plan your day or in the evening after relaxing in the Spa Tub, enjoy the absolutely fabulous night ambience lighting.

We are located about half a mile to Ober Gatlinburg and located on the same road. This is Tennessee’s ONLY Ski Resort! Year round fun Amusement and Ski Resort. Ride the Aerial Tram and Alpine Slide! Multiple Activities for fun in every season. Dining is also located inside Ober Gatlinburg.

NOTE: Tickets Sales for Snow Tubing begin Oct 15, 2021 for season opening Nov 20, 2021. Tickets normally sell out fast. Stay with us at The Black Chalet for super easy access as parking is very limited at Ober Gatlinburg and traffic is very heavy.

Three bedrooms, two full baths, 2150 square feet, sleeps 8 but can accommodate 9 max (twin with queen bed in bedroom #1 but twin is best suited for children, not adults)

Bedroom #2 —Located Upstairs, One queen bed

Bedroom #3 —Located Upstairs, Two queen beds

Owners live in the area and property is personally maintained by the Owners before and after each Guest.

Fireplace is decorative only, not for use. No fires permitted.

The TVs didn’t work our entire stay so the kids were very bored. The spa tub was dirty and the panel didn’t work to turn it on. The seat to one of the game chairs were broken which is a safety hazard.

Great location and very clean!

The check in process was so smooth and easy! The cabin is on the main road and there is no view but it is SO close to downtown Gatlinburg that it didn’t matter! The cabin was very clean and looked just like the pictures! The only down side was the hot tub we couldn’t get it to work most of the time and when we did it wouldn’t get over 80 degrees. But other than that I highly recommend this place! We will be back for sure!

Great mountain home away from home

We were all very comfortable in the rustic home. The children (5 and 10) were well entertained. The kitchen was well equipped. The master bathroom is especially nice. The shower is multifaceted and we really enjoyed it! We also used the deck to relax. It was an overall enjoyable experience.

Quick trip

The place is beautiful and lots of room, we couldn’t get the TVs to work and there was no hot water for two days. The game room was a lot of fun but the skeeball table was broken. We enjoyed our trip and would definitely stay here again if we knew how to work the hot tub and getting TVs to work.

Christmas getaway

The chalet is very spacious and has all the amenities you could ask for. Very convenient to downtown. The driveway could be a challenge during icy weather.

Fantastic getaway!

We absolutely loved staying here! The owners were incredibly helpful and responsive. The chalet was very comfortable and the kids had a blast in the game room. It was a really convenient spot too - easy to get to Pigeon Forge and the National park. We would 100% stay here again!

Great smoky mountain trip

Had a great time hiking in the GSM. Perfect location for hiking, visiting Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge. My kids loved the arcade games and fooseball table.

Super dark and terrible odor

I would have given a higher rating but we had several issues. No handsoap in the downstairs bathroom, no batteries in the remote in the downstairs bedroom and a dead racoon under the house that made the living room almost impossible to use. For what we paid for our stay we were disappointed.

This place is just as beautiful in person as online. Definitely would love to go back.

Great place would love to go back to this same location. It’s definitely eye catching and almost perfect. The only negative thing I can say is I was disappointed there wasn’t a full length mirror somewhere. Maybe I’m too boujee lol but I like to see what I look like from head to toe especially before going out for the evening. Love the communication from the property manager her responses were fast and very friendly. She check on us throughout our stay which was very nice.

Black Chalet

Great place! Nicely decorated. Location was great! Kids loved the game room. We never had chance to use pools due to our busy schedule. So much to do in the area.

Great Stay

The Black Chalet was everything that our family hoped it to be. It is super close to Downtown Gatlinburg and the nature views as well. Our first morning, we got to see a bear climb the neighbors tree onto their porch. He visited everyday based off the paw prints on our cars. The kids thought that was awesome!! The house was comfortable and very clean. It had everything when needed when staying in to eat. We rate it 5 Stars and would stay again!
