Architectural, Private, New-Build Modern Glass House on 8.5 acres
Stay in a brand-new Olson Kundig-designed home on 8.5 secluded acres in Garrison, NY — available for the first time, for a limited time, May through September 2026. One hour from NYC by car or train. Glass walls scaled to make the forest feel like part of the room. Recover in the wellness suite with sauna, cold plunge, and red-light therapy. Cook on a chef's kitchen with a 48" induction range.
Set at the end of a historic dirt road that dates to the Revolutionary War, this private residence was designed by Olson Kundig, the internationally acclaimed architecture firm behind some of the most celebrated homes in the world. This is not a rental property, it's our family home, offered to guests for the first time.
The main level spans 3,000 square feet with floor-to-ceiling glass on every side, plaster walls, white oak ceilings, and polished concrete floors with radiant heat. The architecture is designed to dissolve the boundary between inside and out so that you're surrounded by forest from every room.
Three bedrooms, each with an en suite bath. The primary suite features a soaking tub, double shower with a skylight above, and an Alaskan King bed. Second bedroom has a King. Third has a Twin-over-Queen bunk (can be removed if necessary). Plus a powder room at the center of the house.
The home is furnished with vintage and custom pieces throughout, including a Barcelona daybed, Eames ottoman, and Mario Bellini Camaleonda sofas. A wood-burning fireplace sits between the dining and living rooms for cool evenings.
The chef's kitchen centers on a 12-foot island with a 48" induction range and griddle, steam oven, dishwasher, and full-size column refrigerator and freezer.
The 1,700 square foot lower level includes a private home office and a full wellness room: sauna, cold plunge, red-light therapy, Peloton, and gym equipment. Outside, the 8.5-acre property is surrounded by hundreds of acres of forest with hiking trails accessible from the door. Views of the Hudson Valley hills in every direction.
12 minutes from Cold Spring's restaurants and shops, and 10-20 minutes to Bear Mountain, Beacon, West Point, Storm King Art Center, Dia Beacon, and Boscobel. The Hudson Valley's best dining, hiking, and cultural landmarks are all within easy reach. Metro-North's Garrison station is nearby with direct trains to Grand Central.
Other things to note This is a private family residence available for a limited season. We take great care of this home and ask that our guests do the same. The property is very secluded, that's the point, so come prepared to unwind.
