Upon entry to room. It had a very overpowering musty smell. We had to go purchase a plug in and room spray to be able to stay in room. Even though we had designated parking it was unavailable due to someone else parking in it. Upstairs neighbors were extremely loud all night affecting our sleep. Deadbolt lock did not work.

I have mixed feelings about this place. I was happy that the Beach is across the street. The room ítself was nice and cozy. It had everything I needed in the kitchen. Although I didn’t like the the pots being under the sink and it’s dark down there. The bottom of the bathroom sink was torn, and I was always afraid bugs were going to come in. I didn’t feel safe in the place. The door has one little lock. In the picture you see 2 locks, but only the know one works. The door rattles when you move it. Anyone can just push it in. We always had to take out valuables with us when we went out because we were afraid someone would break in. Also, there is a filthy rug at the entrance. Not very welcoming! I’m surprise this is a Vrbo. Because of all this, we decided to leave a day early. We had our granddaughter with us and didn’t feel safe.

Not so good

The condo was a great size and was very nice, but we had no internet so we could not watch tv. The bed was comfy but when we went to shower there was absolutely no cold water, so needless to say we had very quick showers.

Great Stay!

It was bigger than we expected but we full time RV so it was massive to us. We loved it! The unit is older but we like that in places. The only thing was the water ia definitely hot in the shower, but we figured out the perfect spot and was fine. I would say this a great for couples and young people. If you are fancy or need lot of amenities not for you, but for us is was PERFECT! Close to the beach and eveything we did was with in a 10 min drive.

Not worth the money

A motel would have been nicer! Especially for the price. Hot scolding water, no remote to TV, no WiFi access as promised. No accountability for the cleaners! The staff running the condos acted very concerned, but could care less! They only want your money.

Not for family- as a family of 3

We stayed here for Memorial Day weekend. It was a great location as it was very close to the beach and pleasure island. However this is not for a family especially with a small child. It would have been good for just a couple’s getaway. We did have an issue with the water. The shower and all the sinks only had hot water. And when I say hot water like scalding hot. We were barely able to shower ourselves it was so hot. And we had to quickly rinse our child as soon as we turned it on so it didn’t burn him. I did contact the manager and they said they would look into it but we heard nothing back. The refrigerator was the only other complaint. We ended up running out of room. Simply because we brought snacks for our toddler, plus had leftovers.

This place says ocean view this is the view from our place lol. This place looks to have flooded and never been fixed The shower is 180 degrees with no cold water at all. Terrible place Way over priced, no view, old run down joint. Also can’t even check in until exactly 4 pm lol It’s in the ghetto area of Galveston also Save your money spend it on something on seawall

Just okay

The place was clean and updated on the inside but the shower water was scalding hot and nobody came to fix it so we couldn’t shower all weekend. Also the wifi did not work and there’s no cable either.

These are old. Let's start there. But upkept somewhat decently. The couch was heavily stained and there was a great deal of dust. After a long day of driving, we arrived around 5pm. We unloaded our bags and headed out to dinner and for other activities. We were only staying the night as we had an early cruise time in the morning. When we got in that night around 930ish. The internet was not working. I tried a few things and finally gave up. I didn't call them as I couldnt have someone there that late - I have a 3 year old that was sleeping. The MAJOR issue though is that the next morning after we woke up to get ready - we discovered there was no hot water. Not even warm water. The shower would run cold water with 3-4 seconds of warm/hot water at a time then immediately back to cold. This made it impossible to shower in any kind of comfortable manner. After my husband's attempt, we gave up and had to start our cruise vacation with no showers. I immediately let the company know as we were leaving. They apologized and that was it. Once I got back to the US, I asked for a pro-rated refund due to the issues we had. They only apologized again and said they would follow up. A week later with no response, I reached out again. I got some canned response about maintenance only being able to be scheduled and mentions of painting...not even a single mention of the water or other issues. Stay away from Beach Box - they don't care if you get what you pay for or not.

OK for the price

Small place but easy walk to the beach, drive into town. Clean but minimally maintained to neglected. The TV remote batteries were dead, the Roku TV can't be used without the remote. The owner's response was download and use the Roku app instead, no effort was made to supply new batteries. The AC unit remote was missing, owner asks us to look for it, we did, but it was gone. No fix was provided, we had to live with the AC current settings. There was no back on the right kitchen drawer, broken bowl was underneath where it had fallen out of drawer. The dead bolt was broken, only the door knob could be locked. I wouldn't stay in this unit, but if the other units were fully functional, I'd stay again in one of those.

The place was awesome easy entry Ocean view just as advertised it was clean. Loved the fact that there was coffee for more than one for 2 days that was awesome and communication with the host was very timely if I had a question wasn't just a minute or two they replied that's a plus in my book don't know if there was anything I didn't like about the place would refer to family and friends and I would say again

Mardi Gras Stay

We had a great time. Pet Friendly location near beach and not far from the Strand is what we were looking for and this fit the need perfectly. Location is right on Seawall just before Stewart Beach. Easy walk to beach. We chose to drive to get to Strand for Mardi Gras, but the walk wouldn't have been that bad. The room is small but has everything you need. If you are looking for fancy, this is not it. But if looking for nice location with parking, this is a great option. Communication from host is great as well. Nice, affordable option for your trip. Would definitely book again. Thank you!
