This charming 4-bedroom Galveston getaway is the upstairs unit of a historic Silk Stocking District mansion turned duplex. Unwind on the spacious porch after a fun-filled beach day – The Century Cottage is a 2 minute drive from the beach and lively Pleasure Pier! After exploring The Strand`s shops & restaurants nearby, gather around the firepit in the backyard for a delightful end to the day. Please note, being a duplex, the outdoor amenities are shared with the downstairs unit.

● WINTER TEXAN RATE: Escape to the Texas Gulf Coast this winter! Ask about our reduced monthly rates October 1 - March 1.

● Location: Midtown neighborhood of Galveston, Texas

● Beach Access: Less than a two minute drive from the Historic Pleasure Pier and the beaches at the seawall.

● Rent Beach Box: Beach gear rentals are available! Ask us for details and rates.

● WIFI/Cable: We provide free high-speed WIFI and Roku with access to Sling TV for live television channels. Guests are welcome to log into their own streaming service apps.

● Pet Policy: Pets are not allowed.

● Parking: There is room for 3 vehicles on the streets surrounding the home.

Escape to The Century Cottage, a charming 4-bedroom home nestled within the top floors of a historic Galveston home turned duplex. Located in the prestigious Silk Stocking Historic District, this vacation rental offers the perfect blend of historic charm and modern comfort. Just steps from The Strand`s vibrant shops and restaurants, and a short two-minute drive from the beach and lively Pleasure Pier.

The Century Cottage offers ample space for families and friends to spread out and relax. This two-story unit, occupying the top two floors of the duplex, features a comfortable layout with an open-concept living area on the main floor. As you enter, the living room welcomes you, perfect for movie nights or game nights. The open flow seamlessly connects the living room to the dining area, which comfortably seats two at the table with additional seating at the breakfast bar in the fully-equipped kitchen.

Each floor offers convenient sleeping arrangements. Downstairs, a bedroom with two queen beds is located just off the living room, perfect for families with young children. Following the hallway, you`ll find a king-size bedroom with a luxurious en suite bathroom, offering a private retreat for parents or couples. Another full bathroom is conveniently located at the end of the hallway.

Upstairs, two additional bedrooms provide further sleeping options. One bedroom features two queen beds, ideal for siblings or friends sharing a room. The other upstairs bedroom offers a full-size bed and a twin-size bed, perfect for accommodating larger groups with varying sleeping needs.

Tired from your day of fun in the sun? Enjoy a refreshing beverage while people-watching on the spacious front porch. In the evenings, gather around the firepit in the backyard for a delightful end to the day. Roast marshmallows under the stars and share stories of your Galveston adventures! Please note, the backyard and exterior amenities are shared with the first floor unit.

The Century Cottage offers a unique blend of historic charm, modern comfort, and a fantastic location, making it the perfect Galveston oasis for your next family vacation or friends` getaway!

● Cancellation Policy: All cancellations are subject to a 3% credit card processing fee.

● Party Policy: No parties are allowed at our home. Please look elsewhere if that is the intent of your trip.

● Age Requirement: Guests must be 24+ to book.

- One-night stays must be approved.
- Groups larger than 8 need to be approved. We do not allow parties.
- Quiet hours are from 10pm-8am.
- Pets are not allowed.
- Any damages to the home or property during your stay will result in a deduction or additional charge for the resulting repair/replacement cost.
- Oversized vehicles/trailers are not permitted.
- Do not turn the thermostat below 70 degrees.
- Should an eviction occur due to breaking house rules (noise ordinance violations, excessive guests and/or vehicles beyond the agreed amount), there will be an $850 fine.

The space was accommodating for 10 people and the decor was nice but did not realize we would have to sleep in the attic or above another home attached on the bottom. Also the smell of mildew/mold was so overwhelming. It was fine for a one night stay but could not have dealt with the mold for any longer. A little creepy sleeping in the attic.
