Chianti Villa with pool far reaching views towards the sunset in woods&vineyards
Restored from the ruin of a typical Tuscan farmhouse this Podere sits high on a hilltop at 600 meter above sea-level (which means summer nights are just perfect outside). The Main House sleeps 10 and the Studio (called Capanna) is about 60m away from the Main House and sleeps 2. They can be rented separately or together, a total of 12 guests.
Podere Scopeto overlooks woods, vineyards and the medieval towns of Radda and Castellina. The nearest town is Gaiole (15 min) in the triangle of Siena, Florence and Arezzo. It is in the middle of the Gallo Nero classic wine region with Brolio, Castello Meleto, Coltibuono on your doorstep. We have a large saltwater pool (5m x 14 m) with spacious sun terraces and pergolas which offer our guests boyant relaxation, but for the more energetic there are miles of woods and hills to walk in beyond the 30 privately owned acres surrounding the house. It has a huge BBQ with enough chairs and tables to seat 12-18 comfortably on the three terraces. More secluded hammocks and picnic places are dotted around the property under the shade of our olives and sweet chestnuts. We have reliable crystal clear water from our own well and faultless heating and plumbing system. Our bathrooms are modern and work perfectly and every bed- and bathroom has at least one anti-mosquito screen in a window. 2 fireplaces cheer our winter visitors. From the main road you drive 2 and a half km through the woods on an un-tarmaced road which is not suitable for low-slung vehicles, caravans or bikes but fine for normal cars driven slowly. We are happy to let you stay for the annual 'Eroica' traditional bike-race in October though, which takes place every year in Gaiole.
The Main House sleeps 10 plus a child in a small child's bed which normally serves as a small sofa in one of the bedrooms. The 'Capanna' is a self-contained little house about 60m away with a large living-room with kitchen, a wood-burning stove and - up on a balcony - the double bed and cupboard and a tiny but perfect bathroom with Philipe Starck basin, a toilet and a shower. Outside are places to sit above and below the house joined by large, wide steps.

Our family of 7 stayed at the house and it is a wonderful layout. Pictures don’t do the home and grounds justice. Kitchen is great to cook in and well stocked. The pool is lovely and great to lounge around. There are numerous outdoor locations to dine, gather and enjoy your time together. Purchase your groceries, paper products and toiletries before you arrive :) Marina’s home is well located for Siena and many of the locales you’ll want to visit. We would definitely rent here again!
We had a great time during our stay. The house was spectacular, amazing view of the Chianti hills, clean, spacious and we had all we needed to cook. The pool was wonderful and they came to clean it mid way so it was always clean. We rented a 4 wheel drive SUV which was recommended by the host and it was helpful for the last bit of road that leads to the house. We were able also to visit several small towns close by that were very charming. It was a good central location for someone who wants to get a flavour of Tuscany. Highly recommended.
We recently visited Borgo Scopeto with 3 families and the accommodations and location could not have been better. As mentioned by others, the road in is a little rough (2.5 kilometers of narrow and steep gravel), but once on pavement you are 50 minutes from Florence, 30 minutes from Siena, and a stone's throw from lots and lots of great wineries and hill towns. And once at the place, the bumpy drive out encourages one to stay put, enjoy the enormous pool, and connect with your family and friends. I would change nothing about the location.
Marina was a joy to deal with, there were zero issues with the place, and I would go back tomorrow were it not for the real world getting in the way of my recreation 😊

Amazing Villa!
Spent a week here with 6 friends for my 70th birthday. Best celebration ever.
The kitchen is the best equipped I've seen and my daughter brought her friend who is a chef, so we had amazing meals. But, we also went out to eat and there are many fine restaurants in the surrounding area.
The house was a dream. So beautiful and well appointed. Great WiFi, modern bathrooms and plenty of them. Lovely comfortable bedrooms. And great fireplaces which we use in the evenings.
We spent alternate days traveling the countryside and other days just enjoying the villa and the pool. The water was cold (in late October) but the owner agreed to keep it open for us and we spent time enjoying 75 degree days by the water. Some of us even took a dip.
Marina was so helpful with all of the information she sent ahead of time. Great communication! And, Elizabetta came midweek to tidy up. Cleaned the bathrooms, kitchen, took out garbage, etc. What a lovely help that was.
The view from the Villa is exquisite and the grounds are beautiful. We also rented the Capanna which is a lovely extra 'apartment'.
Such a great location to tour the countryside and enjoy the beauty of Tuscany in an authentic villa.
Thank you Marina for opening your lovely home to us! We couldn't have chose a better spot. I miss it already!

Incredible property in the most beautiful area, entrance road not for wary drivers!
Everything from booking to leaving was perfect! The host was wonderful to speak with, very attentive, and very easy to communicate with! I rented the house for a group of friends as we were attending a wedding nearby, and this house was perfect for what we needed it for. The house has everything you need, and we were able to relax and unwind as if we were at our own home.
The house is in the deep countryside, so bugs, insects and the occasional wild boar is a given, but I would not expect anything less, and the property is so beautiful, you don't really notice! We had a few hot days where we could use the pool (which in my opinion is one of the best pools of the area!) and it was just a complete heaven!
The only point I would really emphasise: RENT A 4X4 - We rented a Landrover after reading the previous reviews (and we were a group with luggage) and I am so glad we did, the entrance road is mountainous, with a sheer drop to one side, and quite bumpy. Low / small cars may struggle, and if you're a wary driver this may not be the road for you. Taxi's do not like driving it (as we found out.. eek!) so just make sure your car is prepared! It's about a 5 minute drive from the main road to the property, but then when you see the house and the view, my god it's worth it. Grazie Marina, we'll see you again soon!

Beautiful property in stunning Chianti countryside. Best kitchen & pool we've ever had in a rental
A wonderful stay in this beautiful property. All very homely and comfortable. All the owners information, advice and instructions made sure we got the most out of our week. (I think we saw all wildlife on the list: wild boar with young, deer, porcupines...) The swimming pool was the best we had in any rental - big & deep ! And very friendly, welcoming local Osteria's everywhere... We had wonderful days in both Siena & Florence, both only a short distance away. All in all a fab family holiday.

5 Punkte!

A great place to really getaway.
Our group of 6 loved staying in this beautiful Tuscan Villa. Marina’s instructions were very thorough, and we did not have much of a problem at all getting to and into the property. Everything was very clean, Marina’s communication was perfect, and her Villa is beautiful.
I would caution anyone looking into this stay to read the property info before booking. It is very much a remote Villa in the Gaiole di Chianti area, and the windy, gravel road to the house does make exploring the nearby towns difficult after dark.

Meravigliosa perla sulle colline toscane

Fantastic holiday, amazing house and setting.
We had the most amazing family holiday at Scopeto. The house is super comfortable and user friendly. The setting is incredible! We played, we relaxed, we went sightseeing, we drank local wine and had the time of our lives. The pool is huge and the pool area fantastic. The BBQ and kitchen are top notch as are all the rooms. Marina was very helpful both before we booked and afterwards. We could not have been happier and will definitely go back. Tough to beat to be honest!

Wundervolles Haus in idyllischer Einsamkeit

A wonderful stay in the heart of Chianti
We have incredible memories from our stay in Scopeto. The house is situated in classic Tuscan countryside with amazing views in an idyllic location. We felt like film stars! The house has everything you could possibly need (and more!) and has some beautiful features. We whiled away peaceful days flopping in and out of the large pool with a backdrop of the Chianti hills and went for walks in the nearby forest. Evenings were spent sitting on the wall facing the views, sampling the delicious local wines with home cooked pizza or pasta topped with the mouth watering local produce. Our stay here will live long in our memories and we would highly recommend it to anyone.

Beautiful home with magical views
Beautiful house and obviously a much loved home. The sunset views are amazing and sitting by the pool under the blooming roses with a glass of local wine, a bowl of olives and a view over the rolling hills they are grown on, is what my holiday dreams are made of. Owners very helpful. House clean and comfortable.

Great house in quiet Toscana
An amazing house in the middle of Toscana with a fantastic view. Great swimming pool and garden as well as the inside decoration. Everything to feel like at home.
Just make sure you do not have a sport car to go to the house, but the house deserves the last 10min of forest path /way if you want to enjoy peaceful holidays.
The owners are also really helpful and friendly.

This time in Scopeto - Diesmal in Scopeto
Who is the One, seeking quietness instead of the hectic everyday life in office and also at home? This one really wants to sleep into the day without any disturbance and just live into the day, like it was in the old days. He really doesn‘t want to see nor hear of any strangers to disturb him. He just wants to pop up, when he likes it, and looks for his secret retreat, that no other one knows of.
That‘s like it is in Scopeto! If you want it, you can be in half an hour on the Campo in Siena or in some more than an hour to Florence, just by car. You got a wonderfull, undisturbed view high up in the mountains of the Chianti, a lovely pool and a fine house for the holidays of the year. There‘s enough room for the plenty of Your‘s, but also a place to retire from the busy world.
What is the price for it? The one, who likes it busy, will be at bore. The one, who wants an easy access, will curse the long and weary road. But the one, who is in the need to find Himself, he will come again and again.
Philipp from Leipzig
