Enjoy your stay at Lake Guntersville in this floating cabin. 1 bedroom with queen bed and fold out couch in the living area provides room for three guests. With electric fireplace and plenty of space to dock your boat or personal watercrafts, there's no need to ever leave the cabin. It's also a great place to watch the sun rise and set as you fish from your own private deck. If you're looking to dine out, Wintzell's Oyster House is only steps away. Sorry no pets are allowed at the property. Please be aware before booking that it may not be the place for anyone with motion sickness. It is also more of a camping experience than a motel stay. The sewage system is a holding tank, like what is used in a camper or RV. It is pumped daily, but there is the chance of some odors as with any self contained unit. Dishes, bath towels, and cooking utensils are provided for your convenience.

We love this place.

Great Getaway!

We enjoyed our stay very much! Cabin was clean! We loved the view on the lake! We enjoyed a meal at Wintzells Oyster House! We hope to come again!

Great little cabin

Loved our stay here Nice little cabin. Great view. It was very peaceful and the property owner was very friendly and responsive. Check in and out was very easy. Would definitely stay here again

On the water

If you want a place to stay on the water, you will love this, it’s on beautiful lake close to nice restaurants and things to do. You can tie boat up next to cabin.

Heavenly House boat

Very peaceful and the view was great. Plenty of restaurants close by. This was a unique experience staying on a houseboat and we thoroughly enjoyed it! I would definitely do it again.

Great property! I will stay there again. Yes, it's sort of like camping, but with a comfy bed, running water, and A/C. Spent all of my non-sleeping time on the "porch." Watched jet ski races across the lake during the day and watched birds, turtles, and fish in the evening and morning. One can even rent jet skis right by where one parks.

Fun cute and special,

The cabin is just what we wanted. Very cute! New experience floating in the lake. We enjoyed a relaxing morning sipping coffee on the front porch. Coinvent to everywhere. The downtown area is fun place to walk and shop. Of course Wenzels is within walking distance which is a great plus!

Its not a 5 star hotel. Its a floating cabin. Did have septic smell but bought RV toilet treatment and that helped. We will definitely stay again!! Very relaxing.

Nice gett away.

Over all stay was as expected. Room was clean, very cousey and comfortable. Enjoy the floating aspect of the cabin. Fish wasn't bitting. Only issue was with the septic tank and a little smell. Contact owner and he promptly sent someone to take care of it. My wife and I enjoyed the stay and will be back

Floating cabin was fun. Price high for low amenities. Cabin not level. Slight sewage smell. Dock was covered in trip hazards. Host never communicated lack of WiFi. Bed was comfortable. Hot water very low pressure. Price would be more appropriate at 80-90$.

Floating cabin

Wow! What an incredible experience. A "cabin" literally on the water. We spent so much time on the porch. Fishing, watching the boaters, riding the waves; oh yeah, it's a houseboat, she rocks... Hot outside 100°+, but very cool and comfortable inside. We loved every minute. Completely stocked with towels, cups, glasses, plates, silverware, all the comforts of home on the water. We only had one question and the host was very responsive. We will be back.

We stayed when it was sunny and hot. It 95 degrees outside but the inside felt nice. They had multiple air conditioners going so it was great. My 13 year old was able to swim off the back porch and we fished. I’ve already told some friends about it and now they want to come. Restaurants and a couple of fast food places are just a few steps away and grocery shopping is just across the street. The water was a little busy during the day with boats and things so there was a little rocking movement, which is expected, but at night time it was calm and we felt no movement. We will definitely be back.

Relaxing!

We booked this floating cabin for a night to attend a wedding! We were able to check in early to enjoy a little extra time on the back porch and enjoy the views since we would basically only be sleeping there if we didn’t arrive early. Owner was very easy to communicate with and very polite! They recently painted the inside and changed out the bedding. The bed was super comfortable. We did run into the septic tank odor issue as stated in other reviews and their description so I would definitely be prepared for that. It was almost too much but we bought a few things to help make the cabin smell better. This isn’t for you if you aren’t okay with a few bugs getting in due to being on the water! Like they have stated, it’s not a hotel experience, but it’s nice for sitting out on the back porch and being right on the water.

Spiders

first off, the owner took the unit numbers down, so we weren't sure which one it was. and they were in the prosses of repainting the exterior, it wasn't brown anymore. Spiders was everywhere; inside and out, the floors were dirty, the windows were dirty, and the sewer order was terrible the last night there. The only positive thing I can say is that the towels, linens, toilet and shower seemed clean. Would not recommend. Should not of even accepted its condition upon arrival. Thats my fault.

Weekend Get Away

The property was perfect for what we needed. The views from the cabin during sunrise and sunset were absolutely amazing from unobstructed views. My husband also wanted to get some fishing in and he was not disappointed. He had a great catch of catfish. I am glad that I didn't let the reviews in reference to the cabin having an odor from the sewage deter me from reserving the cabin as we did not have this issue during our stay. We will definitely be back again. I would recommend that the cobb webs on the outside sitting area in the front and rear be cleared out or area be hosed down, which is the only reason for the 3 star cleanliness rating. Also we really had no reason to communicate with property management which was also reason for 3 star rating. Cabin was as listed and had everything we needed that we didn't bring ourselves.
