The hotel is situated in a beautiful location, surrounded by nature (if you don’t have a car then it takes a couple of hours to see the local sights). The rooms are traditional with great views, and super authentic. The set dinners and breakfasts are the best I’ve had, and were something to look forward to. There is a selection of onsens including the opportunity to hire private ones for those who aren’t confident of sharing more public pools. A highlight of the trip so far

If you decide to stay at Sansuiso, you have made the right decision. This is a beautiful onsen, with a variety of different type of waters, pools on the edge of the river. We stayed in the Japanese room which is always spacious and comfortable. Do yourself a favour and do the half board (or dinner) it will be one of the best meals you may have ever eaten. The staff is so friendly and helpful.

Five star experience all the way! The room was large and immaculate. The staff even set out the bedding for us while we were out at dinner. The hotel had not just one, not just two, but three fully separate onsen areas! Each had multiple baths and each had at an outdoor bath too! The dinner was fabulous. It’s a chef’s choice dinner so there are no choices or substitutions but high quality throughout. The only negative is the hotel is in the middle of nowhere but that’s not unusual for these onsen towns.

良い温泉でした。3月末、雪が降ったり寒くて観光する気持ちになれなかったが、宿の中で色々なお風呂に入ったり、くつろげた。美味しい食事にも満足です！ 福島駅から土湯までの送迎バス利用したが、便利でした。早めのチェックイン、高齢の親と、一緒だったので早めの食事、色々なお風呂入れたりするので良かった！

一階の大浴場の内風呂に手すりが無いため、高齢の母は入る事が出来なかった。風呂場の床が滑りやすく、マットが敷いてあったが、マット同士が離れていたため、危険であった。風呂場は段差があり、危険だった。とにかく、お風呂には露天風呂であろうが手すりをつけて欲しい。サウナがあったが、婦人用だけ、休憩用のチェアーが無かったのはなぜなのか？男女で差をつけるのはいかがなものか？ エレベーターが旧式のため、安全装置が不備であり、何度も挟まれた。 コーヒーメーカーは時間がかかりすぎるので、台数を増やすか他のものに変えたほうが良い。 スロープがある場合は手すりを必ずつけるのと同時に、案内の表示があると良い。 外国人の方を受け入れるのは良いが、お風呂の入り方のマナーが守られていなかった。外国の方が見てすぐにわかるような入浴のマナーの表示があると良い。 スタッフの皆さんの対応は素晴らしかった。外国の人が数名いたが、その方たちも一生懸命働いており好感がもたれた。食事も大変美味しくいただいた。
