Dave Thomas Ltd designed the Hacienda del Alamo golf resort. The challenging course, which opened for play in 2006, was designed to test golfers of all abilities, with all holes surrounded by natural rough terrain. The challenge is to keep your ball on the fairway! The course is very long, so a buggy is highly recommended; expect a round to take you 4.5 hours. Buggies can be rented for a nominal fee.
There is a top-quality Driving range and practice course for warm-ups and beginners. Lessons are also available. The elegant clubhouse features a generous terrace with sweeping views of the course and surrounding mountains. Light meals and drinks are available, along with a golf shop.
If golf isn't your thing, there are tennis courts (some located right by the apartment), Padel courts, a football pitch, and children's play areas on the resort.
