Great location, clean, but worn out

The hotel is located at an ideal place, close to everything. Everything was clean and the staff (literaly one person) was very friendly. The actual room was spacious, but very worn out. The furniture seemed to be rather new Ikea furniture, but unfortunately they don't quite last in continuous use. The chairs we're all a little wonky, and the kitchen table as well. The washing machine made the weirdest noise whilest it was on, and the toilet didn't flush properly. It does not give a very good first impression of the premises if you open the door and the handle stays in your hand. But as the friendly receptionist said " it's OK, we know."
