Small country house surrounded by greenery, peace and quiet, nature, a break from it all, breakfast included
Sit back and relax—in this peaceful, stylish accommodation. The former stable on the farmstead was renovated into a guesthouse in 2025–26. The result is two apartments, each with its own separate entrance, a garden or courtyard, and parking spaces. The apartments are surrounded by fields and fruit trees; the Haarstrang is perfect for hiking, biking, and golf.
Your Accommodation It is located in the northern Sauerland region, near the Bismarck Tower on the Haarstrang. A tastefully restored and renovated former stable, featuring high-quality new furniture as well as antique furnishings.
The open-concept first floor features a well-equipped, new kitchen (refrigerator/freezer, dishwasher, microwave, oven, induction cooktop, range hood, electric kettle, coffee maker, dishes, pots, and cutlery) with a dining table for two guests. Oil & vinegar, sugar, salt, pepper & herbs, tea, coffee & milk are provided for your use.
The living room, with its cozy couch and other seating, is adjacent. For an entertaining evening, you’ll find a 55-inch smart TV here.
Other rooms include a guest bathroom and a storage room with a washer, dryer, and vacuum cleaner. You’ll reach the upper floor via 13 steps. Here you’ll find the bedroom with a double bed (160x200) and a wardrobe (100x200), the bathroom with a shower, and a small office/reading area with a desk and office chair. In total, you have 55 square meters of living space at your disposal.
Right outside your front door, you can relax on the terrace or enjoy a nice meal at the table under the umbrella, seated on two wooden chairs.
Your home includes a newly designed courtyard, through which you reach your own front door. The courtyard used to be the old barn of the main house. Now—where cattle once stood—it offers a modern space under the carport to charge and park all your electric vehicles. The cozy courtyard features Mediterranean-style gravel and décor, with a view of the large, newly planted sand bed along the old boundary wall. Relax, enjoy breakfast outdoors, or make yourself comfortable on the terrace in the summer evenings as the sun sinks lower and lower. One deck chair invites you to relax.
Upon request, you can tour the farm’s private garden, which has been exceptional since 2020 and was designed with a deep love for English garden culture. Within the ruins of the former farmhouse, a garden featuring color-coordinated “rooms” was created. Numerous island beds themed around climate change, large sand bed areas, and a fruit and vegetable garden (still under development) in the old horse stable serve as inspiration for gardening enthusiasts. Nestled on 2 hectares of land (where you can take a walk by arrangement), we live in the farm’s historic, listed bakehouse.
