Utter Seclusion on 600 Feet of Waterfront , Free WiFi

  • Situated on 600 feet of both rocky and sandy beach, this contemporary home sits on one of San Juan Island's largest stretches of private waterfront, attracting deer, owls, fox, seals, otters and bald eagles. Take in the 180 degree view from Spieden Island to Mount Baker. You will welcome the amazing morning sunrises to spectacular sunsets from this uniquely situated home.
    We supply crab pots, shrimp pots and dip nets which you can use right off the beach. Go down at night with a flashlight and the dip net. Shine the light into the water and the shrimp come to the surface. Some guests like to scuba dive off our property which is full of crab and scallop.
    Except at very high tide, at the bottom of the wooden stairs, there is a cove to launch kayaks. This side of the Island is the safest for kayaking and almost always calm.
    The open floor plan in this home has a spiral staircase to sleeping loft that sleeps 4. The bedroom has super-comfortable California King bed with views of the water. The casual dining right off the completely equipped kitchen and just steps from the outdoor deck. Wood stove in the living room will make this a pleasant stay in cooler months too!

This home looks wonderful in the photos but it is even better in person-the views are so beautiful-the house was comfortable-we had everything we needed and more. I will book again-dont think I could have found a better place on the island. Oh-and the hosts are VERY responsive-quick and helpful-it doesnt get much better!

Amazing stay! The view is stunning! Appreciated the thoughtfulness of the included amenities like the Discovery Pass for the house. The beach access is also wonderful! It rained most days we were there so the rocks one needs to climb down to get to the beach were really slippery. Once on the beach, it was awesome!

Most Beautiful Stay on the Island

My family and I enjoyed our stay at this gorgeous cabin. We had complete privacy the entire time, & truly enjoyed the seclusion. Access to the water is only a short walk from the cabin, & I’d recommend checking it out. We hope to come back soon and stay here again.

Lovely secluded oasis on San Juan Island!

My partner and I came to San Juan Island for my birthday and this place made our stay magical! Waking up and being able to step out and look at the water off the back deck was so peaceful. We highly recommend this place and hope to come back!

Peaceful and convenient

We thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay! The setting was so peaceful, especially views from the back deck. Easy access to Friday Harbor and the rest of San Juan Island. The house was clean, comfortable, pet friendly, and had a fully equipped kitchen for cooking.

Exactly as described! Beautiful views right on the coast. Interior is spacious for 2BR/1BA, loft was great for kids and my wife and I were able to stay in the enclosed bedroom. Bedding and mattresses were very comfortable, kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed. Fire pit outside was enjoyable. The beach access (and the beach itself) was rugged but my kids still greatly enjoyed having the water right there. Saw whales offshore twice during our stay! We even took the host advice and tried harvesting some sea lettuce which was fun and more tasty than expected (hint, dry it with a bit of salt).No complaints, but a word of warning: the access road is a decently long dirt/gravel road with some potholes. Take it slow and expect it to add a few minutes driving in and out. The isolation was worth it!

This is a lovely property with amazing views of the water all throughout. We loved seeing wildlife and enjoying the peace and tranquility of the home. The extra binoculars to spot wildlife were terrific. Great place!

Nice private getaway

Stunning Home and View!

This is such an amazing property with the most beautiful view from the back deck! My partner and I stayed here for a few days and it was just perfect for us and our dog! Theres a ton of space to walk and play outside, and its close to both Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor!

Home away from home

A spectacular, private retreat on a gem of an island. Our stay was completely comfortable, we saw so many animals from the property, and our dog also had a blast. Plenty of home comforts, a fire pit, beach access, and lots to go explore and see. We’ll be back!

Beautiful Location

Quiet retreat with beautiful view

My wife and I stayed three nights and enjoyed all of our visit. The house is very well-furnished, comfortable, clean, and well-maintained. The view across the water is beautiful, and the secluded location provides a peaceful retreat at the end of a day of touring the island.

Great views and isolation

Amazing location with amazing views. Personally I could do without the beach-themed house decor, but that’s my only gripe. Would recommend it to anyone.
