A Charming And Artistic Cottage Set In a Beautiful Garden
Come enjoy a relaxing retreat set in a beautiful garden conveniently located halfway between Friday Harbor and Roche Harbor. Foxglove cottage is a charming cottage surrounded by a lovely garden situated on 20 acres of majestic fir and cedar forest. There is a small swimming pond with a dock and my artists studio ..The house is completely remodeled and almost brand new. There are slate floors in the kitchen, dining room and entry way and bamboo floors thru out the rest of the house. The original structure was built with beach logs and field stones and lots of creativity . This is truly a craftsman's creation. The master bedroom is large and spacious . The guest bedroom feels like a tree house. The upstairs bathroom has slate floors, a stone sink , tile shower and small Jacuzzi tub. The master bedroom has a queen size bed and flat screen HDTV. The guest bedroom also has a queen size bed. Both bedrooms have lots of windows viewing the surrounding garden. The living room has a double door onto a small patio overlooking the pond. There is a large flat screen T.V. and DVD player. The house has access to Dish television. The kitchen is completely equipped for you to do your own meals . There is a large window seat for lounging . Right outside the kitchen is a patio with table and chairs for outside dining. The owners live on the property and will be available for any questions you may have. Interaction can be as much or as little as you like. Fresh fruit and veggies will often be available from the garden. Just ask me what might be ripe for the picking. The property is deer fenced so we ask our guests to please remember to close the gates. It is truly amazing how much one deer can eat in an evening stroll thru the garden. We have a young cream retriever who may wander down for a visit. We try to keep her away from the guests but she is very friendly and loves people above all things. She tends to bark a bit on your arrival which is a greeting of hooray finally someone has come to see me. We are working on this. If you have an issue with dogs please let me know. There are many wonderful and exciting places to visit on San Juan Island. There are numerous beaches and parks close by. You can hike , bike, swim, whale watch, kayak, or just relax. It is truly a vacationers paradise.

This place is amazing! Beautiful and cozy cabin with a wonderfully cared-for garden and private pond. We would love to come back. Becky is very welcoming!
The Foxglove Cottage is delightful. Beautiful setting, cozy and whimsical. Morning walks in the gardens and snug evenings around the fireplace in the quaint living room. The kitchen is well appointed and beds comfortable. Delightful stay!
We loved our stay! Becky was a gracious host and the property was very well kept and beautiful. A very restful place with room for grandson to run. The bedrooms were big and spacious. Very nice.
My family could not stop raving about how awesome this place was to stay at. The owner is an artist, and it shows in so many thoughtful details throughout the house. The property also has a beautiful garden and ponds. Also it's in a central location and easy to get anywhere on the island. Highly recommend staying here if you get the chance!!
We loved our short stay at Becky’s artistic cottage in the beautiful gardens! The beds were comfortable, the kitchen had all we needed for simple meal preparation and the cottage was spacious and beautifully decorated. The outdoor sitting spaces and gardens are wonderful. Thank you for sharing your lovely cottage with us!

Our stay at Becky's cottage was so enjoyable. It's beautiful here and quiet. Her gardens are spectacular. The cottage decor is unique (filled with her beautiful artwork), spacious and charming. Its about ten minutes to town so you need a car. Highly recommended!

Highly recommend!!! A beautiful cottage with lots of windows set in a very large gorgeous garden. When you look out the windows all you see is beautiful garden and flowers. You hear birds singing all day long. Just 10 mins from Friday Harbor. We loved it!!
We were in the San Juan islands for a wedding. This place was not only spacious but comfortable. One thing we thought was needed was black out blinds. With the long daylight hours it was difficult to block out the light
First thing-We would stay there again.
The place is off the beaten path, but what isn’t on San Juan!
It was very clean and cozy cottage with amenities.
The master bedroom is very large and the second bedroom is large.
The property is a beautiful garden with a pond having a tranquil vibe.
And a special feature is Lulu the dog!!!
Absolute beautiful property with a natural pond to swim in. The Cottage you stay in below the main house is cute and has some custom craftsmanship charm. You might also be greeted by Lulu the dog a friendly girl. Doesn’t take long to get anywhere on the island. The cell reception is dodgy and Wi-Fi. But if you are looking for a quiet stay this is quite nice.
We enjoyed our stay here. You can tell there is a lot of love that goes into maintaining the house and the gardens. The gardens were especially lovely with everything starting to bloom. One thing I would suggest is more night lighting, especially around the stairs in the master bedroom and living room. My mom (age 77) took a tumble (she was OK!) because she missed the stair leading down into the bedroom and I think some extra night lighting around the stair area would have helped with that.
We two couples enjoyed our two night stay in the artfully furnished and decorated home. The spacious bedrooms, separate bathrooms, comfortable living room and large well-equipped kitchen made it easy to relax together. The fruit, flowers and vegetables in abundance all around the property made the beautiful setting private and luscious. And the gorgeous, happy hens were fun to talk with too. The mid- island location was very convenient for our exploratory outings. Becky was communicative and accommodating for our arrival time. We enjoyed a brief chat with her on our second afternoon. We’ll definitely recommend this sweet place to others!
This was probably the most comfortable VRBO in which I have stayed. It was in a beautiful location not far from the harbor, but away from the crowd of people at the harbor. It was surrounded by beautiful gardens. The design of the cottage displayed incredible craftsmanship. The art on the walls (which was probably created by the owner) was beautiful and added to the character of the cottage. The cottage had all of the necessary amenities. Nothing was lacking with regard to support of daily living.
I would go back and hope that I was able to spend more time just being on site.
The cottage was so peaceful and charming. It is about 15 minutes away from Friday Harbor and you do need to print directions as you won’t have cell service once you leave the harbor area. When we pulled up it felt like we were in a different world . We had rain our first day but it was so nice and cozy in the cottage. We did puzzles and watched DVDs. Kitchen was well stocked to make breakfast and dinner. The coffee was delicious! Extremely limited wifi - would not count on either wifi or cell service while you are there, but the break from the outside world was wonderful. Beds were super cozy and we spent time reading in the window seat as well. The garden is beautiful.
Stayed her with my wife and her parents as a delayed birthday celebration for her mother. Typically, when the two of us travel, we worry little about the place we are staying, because we are often on the go exploring and enjoying a new place. However, with the family in tow, we knew that we would be looking at a slower and likely more homey-style vacation. This place turned out to be the perfect choice.
The property is secluded, but still central (about a 15-minute drive) to any part of San Juan Island. The grounds are a stunning mix of open space and an impressive flower, fruit, and vegetable garden. The home was clean, comfortable, spacious, and more than met all of our needs as we lounged, explored, cooked, and caught up over the week we spent here.
I strongly recommend this place for anyone looking to "have it all" when traveling to the Islands.

Foxglove cottage
This is a lovely venue situated in the middle of the island, therefore a vehicle is needed. It is larger than what "cottage" might imply. It has a full kitchen and dining area, separate TV room, washer & dryer, a full bathroom on main floor, two bedrooms with full bathroom upstairs. There is no air conditioning, only fans, so it can get quite warm upstairs, but the evenings and early mornings were quite comfortable.
The property is spectacularly lovely nestled in a truly huge English garden setting with a pond, fruit trees, abundance of flowers and vegetables all around.
Our host Becky was very pleasant, full of island knowledge, though we were mostly interested in her garden. Lulu, Becky's dog, is quite friendly but also knows her place. We did not meet Becky's husband, as he was doing some volunteer work elsewhere.
We had a wonderful experience and would recommend it to anyone wanting to be out of downtown and able to access the island in all directions easily by vehicle.
Really a beautiful garden setting in which the commitment and love of the host family to the land really permeates. The host was very quietly available and generous. And the property is very close to everything. We had a wonderful stay.
