This was a great choice of place to stay while we visited French Lick for my birthday weekend. Just a 10 min or less drive to the casino and lots of good restaurant choices. Friendly staff, clean rooms, and when we were first unloading our suitcases in the room we noticed the smoke alarm was chirping every minute needing new batteries. My husband went down to the desk and she gave us a different room right away. Breakfast was full buffet and the kitchen staff was very attentive keeping fresh biscuits coming and cleaning tables and around the serving line. We would definitely stay at this hotel again the next time we go down to French Lick!
French Lick Casino- non-smoking!!! Yay!
Walked the trail between French Lick Resort and the West Baden Resort and rode the trolley back
They have horse drawn carriage rides from West Baden Resort into town and around.
If you like good German food be sure to go to the German Cafe. I lived in Getmany 11 years and miss good German food. We ate there twice!

The property was very quiet and clean! The room was as spacious as advertised. The pool was in fact heated and very well taken care of! I saw multiple people with their dogs, so the hotel is pet friendly and it was nice to see! The staff was very polite. I’ve already booked two more stays at the hotel for future dates because it was a really nice stay and very affordable!

Several lights were out in our room, the mattress pad was covered with hard pilling that was felt through the sheets and the walls needed a good cleaning, the service was great however. Just some maintenance and extra attention to details would go a long way.

For the price point, the rooms served their purpose. Rooms were clean, the staff were friendly, and the location within quick driving distance to our activities. The hotel advertised a hot tub, which has been permanently covered, so don’t book based on that…and the restroom in the pool area is under construction with no signage. Be careful. Every ice machine in the building was out of order, which is minor, but an inconvenience if you’re trying to have an icy cold beverage. The breakfast was great! Hot items were hot, waffle makers, cold items were cold or refrigerated, and your typical coffee, tea, juice, and (room temperature) water.

We had a handicap room with a walk-in shower on the ground floor near an exit. It was spacious and comfortable. Also, the motel is in a quiet location. We were never disturbed by traffic or interior noises. The pool was a disappointment but the exercise equipment was good.
