Charles Deam Wilderness also offers many hiking trails and sites. Jackson County is one of southern Indiana`s most scenic counties. with views of farmland, meadows and rolling hills with beautiful wooded backdrops. Visit Chateau de Pique Winery, Medora Covered Bridge, Starve Hollow, and other picturesque locations along the way!
Sundance Lake is a short 4 minute drive from the cabin and offers the most magnificent view of the 5-acre lake surrounded by hardwood and pine trees. It is one of the most scenic spots in the forest! Specifically built for fishing, it is stocked with bluegill, red ear, bass, and channel catfish. Kayaks, canoes, and small motorized boats are permitted on the lake. There are 2 large piers/decks overlooking the lake where one can just enjoy the view. Whether fishing, hiking, or simply relaxing on the pier with a cup of coffee or a glass of wine, Sundance Lake offers something for everyone!
Hoosier National Forest has an abundance of turkey, white-tail deer, squirrels, and seasonal mushrooms. This property is completely engulfed by the forest, creating a hunter’s paradise! Travel the woods all day and then return to the comfort of this convenient cabin to relax!
