Clean & Convenient

Attending annual competition from out of town. We prefer to come the night before in lieu of 2 hour drive at crack of dawn before competing. Want clean sleep at great price and thats what we got! We've had problems with roach infestations at other motels in this area and dread coming. Happy to have found this place! Also found a great little local diner for a hearty breakfast before the meet.

Clean but hard to sleep well

The room is small and basic but very clean. The curtains didn't cover the window well enough to keep the room dark with a light right outside the door. The doors were hard to close so slamming doors and the light made it hard to sleep.

Clean. No extras.

Good price. Quiet. No frills at all. Just a reasonable place to sleep and continue on my trip. The motel is aged but upgrades are okay. It was very clean, but an ashtray on the desk makes me nervous, slight smell lingered. The bed linen felt damp, like another 20 min in the dryer was needed. I got a good rest and moved on.

When I’m staying at any place, I mainly just want it to be clean. No bugs or stains, and the bed, shower, and toilet need to be spotless and smelling fresh. This place definitely met my standards. I was pleasantly surprised for a cheaper motel. I will probably stay here again while I’m traveling through Virginia.

Eh. Ive had better, but ive seen worse, too.

The heat didnt work, no coffee maker or lobby with coffee. The bed was HORRIBLE. terribly uncomfortable. A couple of flat pillows, and the frame creeked so much that it woke me any time i had to roll over. The staff was friendly enough. There were NO signs of bugs. It wasnt the worst stay but i wouldnt choose it again. It was clean though.

The proprietor was very responsive to our requests and helpful getting me signed into the internet. The room was very clean and adequate for our needs. The only thing was the fire alarm went off three separate times, very briefly between 2 and 3 am. We left very early, around 5 am, and did not speak with the owners. I would definitely stay there again but would report the fire alarm if it happened again.

Yup. I ended up staying here again for about a week while I was looking for an apartment in the area. Very pleasant stay. I was really impressed when I saw one of the owners out in front of the building spraying bug spray down near the walkway in front of the doors, mainly because I had NEVER seen a motel owner giving that kind of care to their property. Most of them are happy to do the bare minimum. Heck, roaches and bed bugs are almost the norm at these kinds of places. I didn't see any bugs at all between my two stays here. Toilet, shower, bed, microwave, and fridge all looked very clean. Owners were nice. Rooms were reasonably quiet for being right off the highway. Price was good/great. And there were plenty of places to eat nearby. What more could you ask for in a motel? Highly pleased with my stay here.

Nothing fancy, but perfectly fine!

Great no-frills motel on Rt 1 just off 95. Friendly staff, clean room, fairly quiet for the location. There are plenty of options for food and easy access to downtown Fredericksburg. This was a fine place to rest my head for the weekend.
