Basing your adventures on K’gari at King Fisher Bay in the Pandanus Holiday Villas hosted by Melanie and Adam is one of the best holiday decisions you can make. The Villas are set within a forest overlooking the bay and you are sure to be visited by kingfishers in the late afternoon on the back deck. If you bring a 4WD or hire one near the villa, you can be sure you’ll see the best of this incredibly idyllic and pristine island which has heritage listed forests, perched lakes and fascinating wildlife. There are well signposted treks and places of historic interest including ship wrecks and great places to swim. Don’t let the driving on sand put you off, it’s an amazing place you’ll fall in love with and return to. We had the best stay, our accomodation was outstanding, thank you so much, the attention to detail made all the difference. We arrived in a heat wave but the house is designed for all temperatures so it was comfortable and spacious. We wanted for nothing and there are restaurants and a shop within a short walk but far enough away that you feel separate from the activity of the small settlement in the bay. Enjoy your K’gari holiday, just do it.
