Spacious 11BR / 8BA Mountain Chalet / Stunning Views / Walk to Free Ski Bus
CasaColo is a spacious mountain retreat designed for large families and groups who want to cook, gather, and enjoy time together in one place.
Located in a quiet Fraser neighborhood with Rocky Mountain views, this recently renovated 11-bedroom home offers multiple large living areas, a dual-sided fireplace, and plenty of space for guests of all ages to spread out and relax.
The main level features an open floor plan with a well-stocked kitchen flowing into the primary living room. Downstairs, you’ll find a second entertainment area with a bar, pool table / ping-pong table, and kitchenette — ideal for multi-family stays.
Outside, enjoy multiple balconies, a grill, two hot tubs, and a back patio, while wildlife is often seen passing through the neighborhood. High-speed 400 MB internet and 50"–70" 4K Roku TVs are available in all living spaces and bedrooms.
Please note: Casa Colo is a large, well-maintained mountain home designed for groups who value space, practicality, and affordability over boutique luxury.
While the home has been thoughtfully remodeled and includes extensive amenities and backups (multiple hot tubs, washers, dryers, refrigerators, and mechanical systems), it is an older house. With that scale comes occasional maintenance needs.
Our approach is simple: redundancy over perfection — if something is temporarily unavailable, there is almost always an alternative available for guest use, and replacements are handled promptly.
Guests who expect a brand-new luxury hotel experience may find this home is not the right fit. Guests who value space, function, and responsiveness consistently have great stays.
Just minutes from Fraser and local dining, shopping, and outdoor activities, Casa Colo is designed to keep large groups comfortable, entertained, and connected.

Stayed here with a large group and there was enough room for everyone to sleep comfortably. Check in/out was straightforward and the house was in great condition. Would stay again!
The property was all some and I love joining the beautiful view from the Hot tub. Also, the room has a very nice view.

Large and did the job but caveats
huge house, accommodated our large group fine. Major bummer that both hot tubs were broken and they tried to fix them but efforts didn't get very far. That was most of the reason we booked the place. Felt like the owner wasn't the most communicative, attempted to get a refund but there was no response. Fun ping pong table and pool table, well-stocked kitchen.
This house is one of our favorites by far! We have been taking large family trips for 16 years, the hosts were super accommodating! It is a bit rustic, but just perfect. The burners on the stove did not get super high with the gas level which made cooking a little difficult but we just used the grill.
Our group of 15 stayed at Casa Colo to celebrate my parents 40th anniversary. The house gave us plenty of rooms and beds to accommodate all our families. The kids really loved the hot tub. Views from the patio were spectacular. The house itself is rustic and quirky, which added to the fun of the weekend.
Our complaints with the stay were fairly minor: One of the toilets was not flushable when we arrived. Maintenance did arrive to fix it, but did not replace the correct part, so the toilet never ended up being usable for the weekend. Two bathrooms and several towels definitely were not cleaned prior to our arrival, so we took care of that ourselves. There also was someone working on the house for a couple hours after we arrived, which wasn’t really a problem, just made for awkward patio conversation. Our last night, I had a message from the owner telling us it’d make things easier on the cleaners if we planned to leave prior to check out time. I felt that was pretty unprofessional, but chalking it up to someone who hasn’t done this for very long.
Overall we really enjoyed our weekend. The house is spacious and perfect for our large group.
There is so many pros about the space, and a few cons as others have mentioned in their reviews. But overall we had a fabulous time!
Pros:
-So many bedrooms, many being king bed size that just fit a lot of people but also can spread out and not feel cramped.
-several different living room, and a pool table
-8 bathrooms is incredible
-a grill and patio
Cons:
-hot tubs weren't fully working
-ice makers don't work and you're not provided even with ice trays
-low volume and variety of kitchenware
-no shampoo or conditioners in house
-not in perfect cleanliness, especially the exciting steam room having mold
My advice to the owner, is to fix some of the issues that are reoccurring throughout reviews. I completely understand life is expensive and other times you don't know what else they have going on. But small things like even ice trays, more kitchenware from good will even, bulk buys of shampoo/conditioner can really make a difference. I'd also really limit your check out instructions. Vrbo charges a cleaning fee and the long list of items to do before leaving that weren't considered normal just made your last thought of the house frustrating. I've never had to turn a self cleaning oven on before, etc or such an after the fact list of fees that could exist. Even stripping sheets from that many beds is tiresome for the early check out and makes you question what is my cleaning fee being used for. I'd suggest keeping it to the basics, take out trash, dishes, lock door. It's a
We were able to house all of our children & grandchildren at this property. Access to the surrounding area was good and there were a lot of thing to do. The accommodations were good, the bed rooms & bathrooms were clean and comfortable. The kitchen & dinning areas were large and allowed for us to all eat together & hang out while int he home.
Especially for the price point, this property proved to be a great place to host 10 adult golfers for a couple of nights! The 11 bedrooms are behind separate doors, so privacy isn't an issue. Many of the bedrooms have multiple beds, so if you don't mind sharing bunk space, there's room for quite a few folks! There's plenty of room for a group to eat. The kitchen has enough pots/pans, plates, silverware, etc. to cook for and feed a large group, too. Having the pool table and other games in the basement makes for a nice apres-golf or apres-ski relaxation place. The group is already talking about next year's golf trip, and we'll be shooting to grab this property again.
We had a nice time at Casa Colo! There was plenty of room for our group of 15 to spread out and enjoy the space. Kitchen was great and had everything we needed for cooking lsrge meals! There are nice upgrades done to a lot of the areas and the kids enjoyed the game room a lot! Its not a perfect home, and could still use some fixes, but worked for us and would stay here again! Thank you for the hospitality!
We had a family reunion at the property with 30 people total; 12 adults and 18 children from 4 to 17 yrs. The property was clean and the multiple bedrooms and bathrooms worked out great. A very large kitchen and dining area as well as a game room downstairs worked great. Only a couple of negatives. Each room had a TV, which was great, but the internet bandwidth wasn't nearly enough to support a bunch of teenagers with games and TV. Also, there were two hot tubs (great!) but the water wasn't very clean in either and there was no filter, so it got worse quickly. Probably an oversight and easy to fix. There was some confusion on our part as to the operation of the hot tubs as well. We had a great time and would recommend the property to anyone that needs a lot of bedrooms, baths, etc. Beautiful mountain area. A cow moose and her calf wandered into the field behind the house one evening.
We stayed at this property because it was large enough to house our group all under one roof. We went in with low expectations because we understand large groups = large homes = lots of maintenance and upkeep however nothing could have prepared us for the nightmare of a stay that we experienced. We had several emergent maintenance issues during our stay including a gas leak, leaking refrigerator, leaking pipes, flooded laundry room, mold and electrical issues. Communication with the property team to resolve the problems was spotty. In app messages, phone calls and text messages went unanswered. There is an undisclosed family living in the detached garage - one of whom was responsible for maintenance during our stay. He did his best with what he was working with, however the property was just in disarray. The gas leak was remedied within about an hour or so, I assume the refrigerator was a known problem (which was not disclosed to us upon check in) as an amazon package was delivered with the appropriate part to fix it during our stay, flooded laundry room was not addressed and electrical work took place in the home without notice while everybody was off property. We also dealt with other property issues and nuisances while staying at Casa Colo. We were unaware of the family living on property in the converted garage. They were very standoff-ish and it was just so awkward. There is no AC in the house and no screens on most of the windows. Our group had to go purchase fans to cool down the home as there was only one in house upon arrival. Kitchen utensils and pots/pans were worn and dirty. Toilet seats were cracked, shower handles not attached, the basement bedrooms flood when using the downstairs shower. We had a great vacation, nonetheless, however the property was not up to expectations or even health and safety standards. When calling the property manager and owner to try and rectify the issues we faced, I was hung up on. I purchased a supplemental damage waiver when booking just-in-case and property owner opened fraudulent insurance claim for damages that were present at time of check in.. really a very disappointing way to end a family vacation. It was discovered that reviews for this property on Google appear to be hidden. Absolutely think twice before staying at this property. It has good bones, good space, good location, however it is poorly kempt and poorly managed. It would be wise to stay elsewhere and save yourselves the trouble.

Christmas in the Mountains
Stove only one burner working water dripping from ceiling onto the stove got in our food. Had to through out food because of leak.
Bottom oven didn't cook equally, so only was able to use one oven.
Microwave didn't work.
no outlets worked in basement room had to run an extension cord for someone to use C-Sapp Mask.
Hot tub didn't heat up.
Steam room down stairs door would lock and you couldn't get out very dangers.
Pool table had popcorn all over it so wasn't able to use it tried to clean it up.
No recycle by trash cans and not enough trash cans for large group.
Neighbor in the back was noise and called owner on us about noise but we were not loud at 7pm. first full night so that put a bad taste in our mouth right away.
If you are going to rent a place for 30+ people you got to expect some noise but we were even outside and you could not hear us. Owner asked us to to to basement to gather and that was stupid and rude. we had handicap people with us too.
So close the curtains and you will not have an issue.
We had a group of 17 stay for almost a week. The house was big enough for everyone to spread out, and enjoy themselves. Having the extra fridge space was nice, and there was plenty of storage in the kitchen. We loved the area, it was a beautiful location and so close to shopping. Would highly recommend!!!
We needed a place to stay with a ski team and this location had everything we needed. The coaches each had a room with its own bathroom. The kitchen was spacious. The game room was fun for the athletes. There were plenty of rooms for the athletes.
This house is great for a large group. Our group of 11 guys stayed here for 4 nights and one of the best benefits of the house was everyone having their own bedroom. The main living space was also plenty of space for our group to hang out and the driveway had plenty of space to accommodate all of our vehicles, which was 6 and easily room for 2-4 more vehicles.
This place was perfect for our group. We had 27 and had plenty of room and much to do. Comfortable stay and very great contact with the property manager while there. We will be looking to stay there again during our ski trips.
I just love this place, perfect for the whole family. Hot tub, pool table, video games, large TV's in every room. It's beautifully decorated and so comfortable, what a special space.
We were looking for something spacious and affordable which can be hard to find. This house was PERFECT for what we were looking for. We had a couple questions for the hosts before we booked, and they got back to us very quickly. Home is spacious, everyone had their privacy, and the location was perfect. The kitchen is huge was very helpful for our group. Lots of space for young kids to safely run around. This house exceeded our expectations and we will definitely be back!

Very spacious house
This property is well located and very spacious and we enjoyed our stay very much. We had 32 people in the end and used every bed. The house accommodated our large group very well. While our overall stay was good, we found quite a few issues with the house. These included one electrical circuit that was not working so some lights and outlets did not work. The hot tub would trip the breaker before it got hot, One room had some mouse droppings, SOme of the window cranks did not work, there are a very large number of washers and dryers and many did not work but enough did that it was not a problem, there were other small maintenance and general repair issues. The teens and pre-teen loved the video game machine and all the old games on it. The pool table was a hit as well. We never felt crowded even with so many people. If you can ignore some small issues this is a fun place for a large group.
