Spring Getaway
The property is just as advertised. The view is incredible. The house was immaculate, well stocked and comfortable. We enjoyed the Greenbriar River Trail just minutes away and Lewisburg just a short drive away. The owner was helpful and available. We can't wait to return.

Almost heaven
The view was magnificent! The home was spotless. Great beds, kitchen and baths. We heard owls, cows, deer passing by. The leaves turned a lot during our stay. Lewisburg was a charming town. This was one of our best VRBO’s. We really love West Virginia.

Our Heads in the Clouds !
This gorgeous house sits at the top of a mountain, overlooking a curve in the Greenbrier River. The view of so many mountain ranges is stunning, with no civilization in sight. Yet, the house is near several houses on that (narrow and winding) road. We spent so much time on the wonderful deck enjoying the view at all times of day. The sunset was amazing! The house and deck are pointed towards the mountains, as if you are on the prow of a ship. The owner’s telescope kept us busy watching kayakers in the river and stars in the sky! The house itself is also stunning with its open design and polished wood ceilings and floors. Everything was spotlessly clean. The king bed was especially comfortable. There was a fully equipped kitchen and many choices of lighting levels. We had 6 adults and were comfortable in the space. The owner was easy to communicate with and helpful to us throughout the rental process. The access to the Greenbrier River Trail and boat launch was only a 5 minute drive down Anthony Rd. The artsy town of Lewisburg was only a 20 minute drive. We enjoyed a couple of restaurants there, as well as the Lost World Caverns and Hawk Knob Cidery. A trip to the Bunker at the Greenbrier Resort was fascinating. This is a perfect place for adults to vacation. Caution is advised for families with children, however. The front lawn drops off steeply over a cliff. There is no fence at the edge of the yard. You know your kids best

The property was beautiful! We loved the large, spacious living room and kitchen. The rooms were all good. The master bed and bath were gorgeous. The best part of the house is the deck out back with the view. It’s breath taking! They had a telescope as well, which was fun to use. The drive was a little far out from lewisburg (20 mins) but still manageable and overall it was a great stay.

Mountain cabin with spectacular View
Walking into the cabin you can’t take your eyes off the amazing view. We would 100% stay at this property again! The house is pristine and included everything we needed and then some! Amazing view and porch to sit and take in your surroundings. Very close access to the Greenbier trail for biking and fishing. Perfect for us! Property Manager quickly answered any questions I had via email and even provided his cell phone number during our stay, if needed. Born and raised West Virginian but have never visited this area and it did NOT disappoint! Hope to visit yearly! 5 stars for sure!

Cloud forest Haven
Having been to Costa Rica, I was thrilled to wake up in the cloud forest every morning. This is a beautiful property with a spectacular view. The close proximity to Lewisburg is another plus for this location. A great place for reconnecting with family, friends and nature.

The View!
Although the view is clearly the star of the show, the whole house is really nice. We especially liked that it didn't have extra clutter, just all the things you would need to be comfortable. The location was perfect for us, not far from Beartown State Park, Blue Bend, and Lewisburg. We went rafting while we were there, and it was about a 1.5 hour drive to Cantrell's rafting, so that was actually not a bad drive either. The splendor of the ever-changing view off the deck is beyond words, and it made us all feel like we were in a magical place.

Great house overlooking the Greenbrier River
The house was very comfortable and clean, all on one floor. The deck overlooking the river had amazing views all day, with the river trail nearby. A short drive into Lewisburg with great restaurants and shopping.

My wife and teenage son stayed for 4 nights and loved the house. We especially enjoyed the sound system and deck with a view that was even better than we expected! Very clean. Very comfortable. It is a 20-minute drive from Lewisburg, but we thought it was worth it and would definitely do it again.

Beautiful Home. Awesome Views.
We loved every minute of our stay. The house is clean and spacious and the views from the deck are breathtaking. The bedding is very comfortable and we all slept well. Nathan's home was located on a bend in the Greenbrier River providing a beautiful and special view off their deck. The house was very lovely, well stocked and with comfortable beds. We enjoyed the deck view as well as sitting on the front porch enjoying the front yard and view of the quiet beautiful neighborhood. You are also right near peaceful and pretty Greenbrier River trail. The only challenge with our stay was the internet/TV was somewhat slow/weak and Nathan is checking on that. We would stay there again if in the area.

Awesome place for Family Gathering

The view of the Greenbrier River Valley is stunning in all kinds of weather, and the house is wonderful. We would go back there again and again, if only it were closer to our home in SE North Carolina. The owner was great to work with and was very responsive to all of our questions. We were so happy to be able to easily visit the lovely little historic town of Lewisburg where my German ancestors settled in the 1700s as well, as it was only about a 20 minute drive from the house.

Exceeded Expectations
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this property and our visit to the Frankford/Lewisburg area. We have stayed at 10 different HomeAway/VRBO properties and have never been disappointed. This property and another (Akureyri, Iceland) exceeded our expectations. In both cases they looked better in person than in the pictures and exceeded what we expected from the descriptions. We would rate it higher than 5 if that was possible. We are already planning our return.

Million Dollar view with a great home and manager
I stayed at the home with a group of friends from the military as a sort of reunion/bachelor weekend. We spent most of our time in awe of the view off of the back deck. When we weren't sharing stories over coffee or beers, we were enjoying the things to do in the area. Everything is considered. Linens, Towels, Kitchen supplies. Even a telescope and an amazing sound system throughout the home. The wood stove works phenomenally and adds a perfect touch to the homes interior. I will 100% look to this property in the future.

Spectacular View and Wonderful Location for outdoor activities
We had a wonderful visit to Greenbrier County. The house was lovely and spacious. The beds and bathrooms were great. We enjoyed watching the sunset from the deck and waking up to beautiful views from our bedroom windows. On one clear night we had a spectacular night sky full of stars. We used the telescope to see Jupiter and its moons. We spent a lot of time outdoors hiking, biking and kayaking nearby. I would rate this house five stars except for the cooking/dining. We like to cook, and this kitchen looked beautiful, but we feel the pots and pans could really use an upgrade. Also, we would have liked a larger dining room table or at least more chairs for the table. To have a nice dinner for six adults you have to be outside at the picnic table. The great room has plenty of space for another larger table, and could definitely benefit from more confy chairs too. While we had good wifi signals, we could not always connect to the Internet--not sure why. We were not overly concerned since we were there to get away from it all. Nathan was a great host and was quick to communicate and respond.

The view is absolutely gorgeous, one in a million. The property is very well maintained. The cliff in the back does make it a little difficult for small children but the front yard offers a ton of space to play. Definitely would stay here again.

4 adult friends came to stay for a week of vacation time. We really enjoyed the view and the cleanliness of the property. All of what you expect in a home stay was provided. Communication with the owner was great. The main living area could use more seating, but we made due with our anti-gravity chairs that we brought. The area was beautiful and we found plenty to do. Hope to go back someday 😊

Scenic rural get-away
Clean, well-maintained property with beautiful views of the mountains and Greenbriar River out of the back windows. We appreciated the beautifully updated and well-stocked kitchen, the collection of kids' books and movies, the comfortable beds and pillows, the abundance of blankets, and shades on the windows. Due to a cold snap, we made good use of the wood stove and generous pile of firewood, which kept us cozy. When a scheduled power outage occurred (which apparently is very unusual), the owner was proactive about contacting the power company and keeping us updated on estimated timelines. This property is about 15-20 minutes from the historical village of Lewisburg (stores and restaurants), with a Dollar General Store about 5 minutes away. Although the rural setting might feel a bit isolated, the road from Lewisburg to this rental property winds through some gorgeous green pastures with grazing cattle, and we had fun watching the frolicking ponies across the street. We enjoyed going to Lost World Caverns (25 min away), hiking on the Greenbriar River Trail (5 min away), and visiting the fancy Greenbrier Hotel in White Sulphur Springs (30 min away), where our boys especially loved the Mountaineer Experience--including archery, air rifles, and tomahawk throwing. On our journey through the east side of WV, we also stopped at New River Gorge National Park and did some hiking (about 1.5 hours away). Families with young children should know that this rental home backs up to a cliff, requiring careful supervision, though the front yard is large enough to throw a football or frisbee.
