"Great location etc etc - good vibe"

"Clean, comfortable, spacious room. Great, helpful staff. Close to bus station, restaurants, stores, boutiques, and four-FOUR charity shops! :) (Parking is confusing, however. Park in the nearby city lot in a space with WHITE borders-otherwise you may have to pay.)"

"Amazing stay at the George. Great food too! Perfect stop after a days walk!"

"Nice clean hotel"

"Stayed during owners transition, that's why the kitchen served only breakfast and it was amazing! The same helpful staff. Short business stay, I visit a lot of hotels and I do appreciate smaller ones. Room had a nice design, comfortable bed and modern bathroom, all very clean and well kept."

"Superb breakfast and very comfortable room"

"Everything was wonderful, staff were so attentive. Room was spotless. Food was lovely"

"Great stay excellent host very helpful. Lovely breakfast and great location right on the Hadrian’s wall trail 5 minutes walk away. Peaceful quiet location on a working farm."

"We had a lovely stay at the Old Schoolhouse. Our room and bathroom were spacious. Our hosts had homemade treats for us each day (an oatmeal raisin cookie our first day and a piece of spice cake the next). Our breakfast was at a large table with the other guests. We loved talking to them, several of whom were walking the length of Hadrian's wall. The breakfast itself was delicious and generous. We would absolutely stay here again."

"Really nice location with views of North Tyne. A good base to walk from or explore further afield. All staff were very helpful and we enjoyed the delicious breakfast."

"Great surroundings, and generally very good accommodation."
