"It’s an older hotel, but the price was great, the room was clean, and the staff were super helpful. Shoutout to the girls working in Starbies that gave some tips on where to go walk around in the morning. "

"I know Vegas isn’t really ideal for families/kids so I’ll give a 3/5 but they weren’t very accommodating. They didn’t have pack and plays available for our toddler (again understandable since it’s Vegas) so I asked for extra blankets and pillows to make a bed on the floor. The 2 double beds in the room were not big enough for my husband and I to share with our toddler and our older kids shared the other bed. They said they didn’t have extra blankets but gave us pillows and sheets so we made due. They left 4 water bottles in the room included in resort fees and when we asked for another 4 the next day, they brought them but said something about how they usually only provide the 4. Really? 4 water bottles for a family of 5 for 2 days?! Not to mention the resort fees are $50 a day. When we asked for more water and pillows the next day, we sat on hold for 20 minutes until someone answered and then waited another 45 minutes before they showed up with the items. I tried the texting option to ask for items but they never responded. And then on day of checkout, housekeeping walked in our room at 10am while we were still in it and asked if we were checking out. Uh yea, at 11am since that is when checkout time is and we had a later flight. This was the end of a week-long roadtrip from AZ to UT to Vegas with our kids and I’ve been there before and love the pool area so that’s why I booked it. Kids did love pool area and all food options they have. Customer service might need some work."

"First time staying here at The D. It is like everyone describes, clean and comfortable but nothing real fancy. We stayed in a Premium Corner King room on the 29th floor facing the mountains, which made it nice. The shower pressure was amazing and the bed was very comfortable! The air-conditioning stopped working so we called the front desk and maintenance was there within minutes and had the problem solved 5 minutes later. Staff is very friendly and the room was super cheap. Bonus for me was the ponies, the last Derby quarter game around from what I understand. It has always been my favorite game to play. I'd stay here again for the right price. Definitely going back to play the ponies"

"If you are looking for Las Vegas nostalgia in a clean place without breaking the bank, then Golden Gate is the place to stay. My wife and I have stayed here a number of times and have never had a bad experience. It can be loud so either join the party or bring some earplugs or a white noise machine if you go to bed before the bands wrap up at 2 AM. But why would you go to bed before that while you're in Vegas anyway?"
