Our family had a wonderful getaway at Woodland Mirth. The property was peaceful, very comfortable and equipped with everything that we needed. Lisa was extremely helpful and I would highly recommend her beautiful home.

Perfect Pre Wedding Stay

I stayed at Woodland Mirth with my bridal party prior to my wedding at Gurneys Cider. The house was fantastic & loved by all. Although close to the road, it is private & secluded. The gardens provided many opportunities for pre wedding photo shoots. Will look to hire again.

Relaxing country getaway

Well appointed property with vibrant, well maintained garden. Minor issues with the feng shui around the pool. Didn't get the promised bottle of local wine, olive oil or honey.

Stylish holiday house with beautiful gardens

A stylish holiday house with big bedrooms. Good communications with the host Lisa, a quick action from Tim to get the problem solved in couple of minutes, so appreciated. The house is close to the town, we had breakfast twice at the same local cafe which was recommended by our host Lisa, eight of us really enjoyed stay and meals.

Woodland Mirth FOSTER

First impression, please trim the plants in the driveway so they don't scrap along the side of our new cars. Our second impression walking into the house was the unclean state of the premises. Bottle left lying around, the floors having not appeared to have been cleaned (cobwebs everywhere) and outdoor glass around the pool filthy. No instructions were left on the premises to guide us along regarding pool requirements and other home instructions. (Owner did apologize for this upon contact). No advice given on the web site stating no laundry facilities on premises i.e. washing machine etc. Being 8 adults, staying 5 days supplied only with 1 towel per person for 5 days did not go over well. 2 tea towels to dry the dishes (even though dishwasher was there) and no facilities to wash them are not workable. After talking to the owner, she informed us that laundry facilities were not available due to the shortage of tank water (understandable) and the advertised outdoor picture screen was removed due to constant damage so, why not update the web site? Again, do not state on the web if it is not there and why not advise this to potential clients so they can cater for this. The utensils need upgrading badly i.e. fry pans, saucepans etc. Not a huge expense. A safety issue getting into the spa pool was very evident for us seniors. A safety rail to grip onto for anyone (not just seniors) would have assisted greatly to enter and exit the spa. The premises are in need of maintenance in an out. Bi -fold doors having a sign not to open due to issues is again not acceptable (appeared to be an issue for some time). Apart from one shower the other 2 were very poor pressure to the point of slow trickles leading to all of us sharing the best shower. To be frank the premises need some tender loving care to bring it up to a standard you can accept when paying the rate required. Especially when paying for cleaning services in the rate. Now you may think that this was a total loss and I am being harsh, but having stayed in other Stays accommodation we are well aware of the standard required. Now for the good points. The location of the premises is fine, as long as you have a car. The house layout was great. Tranquility was great and we did have a good time, but the issues did detract from the overall experience, With the issues cleared up it would be ideal for a quiet getaway.

Secluded private retreat

This is a beautiful home on gorgeous grounds. Everything you need to hideaway from it all. Comfortable private resort with a pool, spa and sauna - great space to lounge around even when the weather is chilly sub-20 degrees! The gardens are beautiful with lots of spots to sit and enjoy the outdoors.

Heart-meltingly gorgeous!

From the moment we arrived, we were taken aback by the beauty of the place. It could have been that we were all on holiday and feeling happy for that fact when we arrived, but the place was more beautiful than the pictures show. The house is gorgeous and the gardens have a natural elegance and charm. We wish we could have spent more time there, if only to make use of the outdoor steam sauna, the perfect activity for the cold Foster nights. We highly recommend the place to anyone looking for an idyllic getaway. Lisa and Tim were always prompt with their communication and we cannot wait to book Woodland Mirth again.

Really beautiful property

We had an amazing time at Woodland Mirth. Its really close to the Prom for beautiful walks. The local shops at Foster were close too to grab a nice coffee. The house itself is amazing and we all enjoyed the fire. The gardens in the property provided a really lovely relaxing feel. It was quiet and peaceful. Lisa was really responsive and very easy to deal with. We would recommend this to all.

Great place to wind down and relax and forget the stress of the world

Beautiful peaceful house & property

A group of my friends and I stayed here over new years and we had such a great time. Lisa & Tim's house is just stunning with high quality details. The finishes - floorboards, enormous kitchen, bathrooms, the amazing pool - are all top notch. There is enough to do at the house to keep you entertained - we were in the pool and spa every day - but Foster is only minutes away and the Prom only a 30min drive. The grounds are also lovely with the veggie patch and the garden. The configuration of the house suits 4 adult couples perfectly. As for the towels mentioned by another reviewer - yes, you ought to bring your own pool towels, I think this is normal. We did. The towels in the house were more than adequate for daily showers. Overall very well located and outfitted. The only suggestion I would have is to install signage on the main road to where the turn-off is for the house, as the entrance is not on Lower Franklin Road. Thanks for the stay Lisa!

I thought the home was lovely it would be ideal for 3 couples Be sure to take plenty of towels as there is only 1 towel each and you cannot use them for the pool Be prepared to take away some of your rubbish as they give you allocations as to how much and no meats etc allowed in bin ( can be an issue if your barbecuing a lot ! ) Make sure you take eskys as the fridge is very small especially if your staying more than 1 night TV and Netflix reception extremely poor to the stage Don't bother get a pack of cards !

Fantastic Property

We had a fantastic time at Woodland Mirth. We were 4 couples and enjoyed the spa and sauna facilities. The 4 bedrooms were comfortable and spacious. Thoroughly recommend this home for a stay near the Prom.

Little country oasis

One of the most beautiful places we have stayed in. The photos do not do this place justice. Comfortable beds with quality linen. Beautifully designed home and gardens. Herbs and veggies available to use in an amazing chef grade kitchen with quality kitchen utensils and crockery. Not to mention the backyard enclosed oasis with sauna, saltwater spa and pool!! While watching a movie in your own outdoor cinema! You really don't need to leave the house however the quaint town of Foster close by has basically everything you need. there's also a great fishing spot about 20 minutes drive away and in Port Welshpool. This was a luxurious memorable stay ,would love to go back one day.
