Historic Urban Retreat Fit for a KING!
Retreat from the hustle and bustle at this peaceful and centrally-located apartment. Located in the lovely historic neighborhood of Lakeside, the guest house is a short walk to Lakeside Park and Rose Gardens as well as downtown Fort Wayne.
As part of a recent restoration of an historic home, the Lake Avenue Guest House is an attached apartment that provides everything you'll need for a comfortable weekend away or home-base for your business trip. All the amenities you desire wrapped up in the character of its history.
Settle into your soft leather furniture to watch the game or your favorite movie on the Hulu-equipped, Roku Smart TV. Enjoy a card game or a jigsaw puzzle from the armoire to relax after a long day of work or sight-seeing.
Your kitchen is well-equipped with everything you'll need (including three different types of coffee-makers!) and a personal-chef may be available for booking ahead of time.
Up the stairway, you'll find a fresh and bright bathroom with luxurious tile shower. Your bedroom is furnished with a cozy, medium-firm, king-sized bed with plenty of pillows and high-end bedding. Our guests have told us how hard it is to get out of bed in the morning! The walk-in closet provides a shelf just for your luggage. You'll also find plenty of hangers, a full-sized ironing board, iron, and portable fan there for your convenience. Enjoy a movie on the large Roku Smart TV as you drift off to sleep.
Across the hall, you'll find our library which is equipped with a comfortable twin bed and equally comfortable trundle pull-out. If you're travelling with little ones, we can provide a pack and play upon request. Each bedroom is equipped with a white-noise machine and ceiling fan.
You'll be in complete control of the temperature of your space with a thermostat in the living room. And should you need to do laundry while you're here, you've been provided with full-sized machines and detergent hidden away in your apartment.
In your down time. take a little walk to our beautiful neighborhood rose gardens or award-winning coffee shop, stroll through our historic neighborhood or if you're up for a longer outing, take a walk across the bridge to our amazing local downtown restaurants! Jump in the car and make the short drive to our famous Fort Wayne Children's Zoo--it's great for adults, too!
Enjoy your stay!

This is such a beautiful home! It was clean, cozy and inviting. The owners provided everything you need, including extra chargers, toiletries and generously sized towels, which is always appreciated. I was also thankful for the noise machines in each bedroom, as I tend to be a light sleeper. That was a really thoughtful touch. I would definitely stay here again the next time I’m in town.
This property made the perfect spot for my girls, my best friend of 20 years and i to relax and enjoy the evening it was so close to downtown Ft. WAYNE and The Allen County Memorial Coliseum. We appreciated the special little touches of comfort throughout the home and the owners were so nice
This property was on point. The host was absolutely excellent and the property was very clean and described perfectly. Although we only stayed one night, should we ever need lodging in Fort Wayne again, we know the first place we are looking.
This was perfect for us. The host was so gracious and accommodating to my husband and I as we worked to move our daughter home from college. I would definitely stay here again! The house is beautiful and the location is amazing!
Thank you!
The neighborhood seemed nice, and the apartment itself was very cute. We loved the style, and all the decor. Everything was super accommodating from check in, the stay, and check out. We only stayed one night, but if I am back in the area I would definitely stay again! The popcorn and chocolates were a nice treat! Thank you for your generosity!

This historic property is a two level unit in the downtown area of Fort Wayne. The unit is part of a historic house attached to that of the hostess. It was extremely clean. Lori, the hostess, pays special attention to detail and the needs of patrons. Lori greeted us and gave us advice on places to eat and visit. The house is near some beautiful gardens and some very impressive historic homes. There was plenty of street parking available. I would definitely stay here again if I were in the area.
This place was a perfect getaway for me and my husband. Everything was so clean and tidy. The host had extra supplies/hygiene items that were the best touch to the place.

Short but sweet
We had a great stay at the property and were close to downtown which we enjoyed. Thank you again!
This house was just what we were looking for! It was cute, clean, and had everything we needed. We were able to walk to Michiana Wine Fest easily. My only regret is not staying to enjoy the home longer. It was so comfortable and inviting!
