"Excellent and helpful staff. Basic amenities that many other hotels that would fall into this category, were missing unfortunately. Bottled water was only 2 small bottles when you check in, otherwise you have to get your own supply of fresh water to drink. No conditioner or lotion is supplied for guests, again you are on your own for this. The small touches that make you feel like you're being supplied with the very basic daily needs based on the price you pay for the visit were not considered. Because of these missing items it diminished my overall perception of what a quality hotel stay looks like."

"If you’re considering whether to go or not, we would recommend you go. We loved our stay here because the food was so good and the staff were exceedingly kind and generous. The resort is absolutely stunning and we received a complimentary upgrade to our room which was amazing. In terms of negatives, I will say that the bugs on the resort can be a lot, but it really depends on the person (I only got one to two bug bites but my wife got more than 20). The bug spray did seem to work when we put it on, but we didn’t always have it on us. Additionally, we went in late August when the resort was probably only at about 30% capacity, which added to the calm and open feel of the resort, so take that into consideration for the review. We also took the helicopter tour to get to the resort rather than the car ride, which was definitely worth it (and the helicopter ride was way smoother than expected). There were lots of activities to take part in, which the front desk sets up for you no problem, so we felt very taken care of. The beach was great and the restaurants were delicious, but again I’ll add that the resort was mostly empty when we were there. The weather did forecast rain everyday, but that was because we got hit with a ~5 minute rain storm each morning then it passed. It only actually rained for one of the days we were there. Overall, we loved our stay and would definitely go back!"

"We had a fantastic time at Villa Becuna. Emile the host was incredibly helpful and responsive. The description of the house is accurate. It is an older construction, but the host have done a great job having all new appliances and technology ( AC, WiFi, TV, water filter and tanks, lighting, new refrigerator, etc), to make your stay as luxurious as possible. The beds were very comfortable and the house is very spacious. Kitchen is stuck for basic cooking, which was all we need it. There is plenty of great restaurants near by and good beach vendors for a quick typical Island lunch during beach days. The small beach 5 min walk from the house is not one you will want to hang out at. We went and saw the sunset but it is not a swimming beach (floor is rocky)and next to the resort pool which made it loud. The beach next to Piegon Island and Sandals resort is a 15 min walk, 5 min car drive with plenty of parking right in front of the beach. It was one of my favorite spots in the island to just relax. Once we drove there with our beach chairs from the house, we could order delicious drinks and food brought to us by a super friendly waiter that works for the few businesses on the beach. I rented a snorkel for 5 and was able to snorkel and swim right off that beach, my teenagers rented jet skis and had a blast. All a 5 min quick drive. Gross Islet location is super centric for you to discover the northern and central part of the Island. You will find what you need for a great vacation."
