The Bird house



The Bird house is right in the middle of the areas best attractions. It sits only 3 miles from Little River Canyon. While being only 4 miles away from DeSoto State Park. This cabin is perfect for a couples romantic retreat. Single bedroom, one bath cabin. The bedroom has a queen sized bed, a balcony leading out of the bedroom that overlooks the beginning of a 20 acre wooded lot. A custom large walk In shower with a clear glass door. Nicely decorated throughout and has a very warming feeling as soon as you walk in. Its fully stocked with kitchen utensils and pans. The cast iron skillets are to be used if you wish as well. We have a charcoal grill on the porch for those who like to cookout. The HOT TUB is a favorite among guest, perfect mood to light up the large outdoor firepit at night and sit back in the private hot tub, such a romantic and relaxing experience. The cabin sits at the front of a 20 acre lot that puts you right at natures door step. Great phone service and you can be in town within a 8 minutes drive. We are very close to Weiss lake at 17 minutes, Fort Payne reservoir at 10 minutes and Dekalb County lake at 20 minutes. So bring those boats and kayaks for some great fishing.


We are very communicative and will happily guide you to the areas best attractions whether it be Restaurants, Fishing, Hiking, Malls and so on. We love to help.

Nice quiet place just off the beaten track. It is in a great spot to get to town or for a scenic road trip across the Tennessee river. Lots of state parks near by. Cabin was clean, plenty of towels, & quiet. We will definitely be booking there when we go back to Alabama!

Nice House

The house was clean, easy to find, and exactly what we expected from the pictures. I would recommend bringing some flip flops or sandals to walk to the hot tub because the rocks are rough on bare feet. We enjoyed having a fire outside and watching the stars and listening to the coyotes. Would definitely go back to this house.

Great little hide away

This is a perfect spot to have a “do nothing” weekend away from the kids and life’s responsibilities. Listing’s description is accurate and pictures tell the whole story. Owners are responsive to inquiries, and the location is fairly secluded. We are going to come back at some point.

Absolutely a gem! From the moment we pulled up to the day of checkout we were in awe of this quaint little cabin nestled in a forest type atmosphere. Matt was always available to answer questions and provide feedback immediately! Definitely recommend this cabin as a getaway that will provide all the amenities you’ll need and the relaxation you deserve!

Great little cabin with a very communicative host. The location is private enough that you can get away without dealing with others. The hot tub was clean and relaxing. The wifi worked perfectly as did the AC. If a smaller place to stay near Fort Payne is what you're looking for, you won't go wrong with The Bird House!
