The photos are up-to-date, taken post-Hurricane Ian as of July 10, 2024. The rebuild and remodel are fully complete. The house is a beautifully renovated, non-smoking property with five bedrooms, three and a half baths, and two kitchens. It is situated at the north end of the island, close to Times Square, the new Margaritaville Resort, and the bustling downtown and Bayside Park areas. It comfortably sleeps 12, not counting an inflatable twin mattress and a pack-n-play. Due to fire code regulations, we cannot accommodate more than 13 guests, with no exceptions.
The house comes fully equipped with towels, linens, soap, shampoo, and more.
The outdoor area is as inviting as any on the island, featuring an oversized, heated pool for your enjoyment. The pool is reputed to be the largest private pool on the island, maintained at a steady 83 degrees (though it may be warmer from May to October as we do not cool it). Beach chairs, pub tables, and an outdoor grill are also provided for your use.
Complimentary Wi-Fi is available, along with Xfinity high-definition cable offering over 140 channels, including an extra sports package. Each bedroom is fitted with a wall-mounted HD TV with cable access (four out of five bedrooms have smart TVs).
Expect to find more amenities than usual for a vacation rental. We provide a pack-n-play, highchair, booster seat, two high-capacity washing machines, two dryers, hair dryers in each bathroom, and a hair straightener in one bathroom. The list of included amenities is too extensive to detail fully here.

Shelley and I are accessible throughout your stay, but we`ll stay out of your hair. Don`t hesitate to call, text, or email with any questions or concerns prior to check-in or during your stay.
We have the greatest neighbors. Some of our guests come tell us they come back every years in-part because of the relationships they`ve built with the neighbors.
Fort Myers Beach, especially where we`re at on the north end of the island, is very walkable. If you stop to pick up groceries along your trip on to the island or if you have your groceries delivered, you could easily get away without renting a car or golf cart.

You`ll find the outdoor space as nice as anything you`ll find on the island. Your outdoor oasis and over-sized, heated pool are ready for you to enjoy. We`re told that the pool is the largest private pool on the island and is heated to a constant 83 degrees (pool will be warmer than that from May-October as we don`t cool it). You`re going to find more than you expect - certainly more than you`ll find in most vacation rentals. We have a pack-n-play, highchair, booster seat. We have two high capacity washing machines and two dryers. We have hair dryers in each bathroom plus a hair straightener in one bathroom. Far too much for us to list everything included in this space.
Notice to guests: Southern Serenity has outdoor security cameras. They are not concealed and clearly visible. They are for security purposes only. There are no concealed cameras and no cameras inside the home.

The Town of Fort Myers Beach mandates that I obtain your signature on a Code of Conduct (a town ordinance). I`ll send it to you for eSignature after you book and before you check-in. We`ll also require a copy of the driver`s license from the person`s name who appears on the credit card used to secure this booking. A copy of the Welcome Book and/or the Code of Conduct are available upon request and printed copies will be at the house for you.
