Pretty hotel in perfect location - you can get dropped off by car, but right on the edge of the pedestrian-only center, making it very convenient. Very clean, everything in excellent condition. Traditional Greek decor. Very helpful and welcoming staff. The room has all the conveniences. You will not regret staying at the Polikandia. This is my first time here, and I will book it again next time.

It was a quick 2-night stay but the hotel and staff were great! The shuttle from and to the port were a nice touch, and the hotel location was excellent for walking about town and getting around the island (proximity to bus and parking).

The Polikandia Hotel is an absolute gem. The property itself is kept in immaculate condition, and there is a genuine dedication to excellence in hospitality in every sense of the word. Gorgeous bougainvilleas surround the pool and create the most gorgeous setting. Location wise, the hotel is perfectly situated right at the entrance to Chora, with all the lovely taverns, shops and bars. These are all literally steps away. It is also ideally located for the walk up to the church with the most majestic sunset views (yes, better than anywhere else in the Cyclades and I have been to many!). The rooms of the hotel are comfortable, clean and well maintained. I highly recommend this hotel if you are looking for an unforgettable stay on the beautiful island of Folegandros.

This hotel is truely a wonderful place, the staff especially Dimitris were extremely helpful, going above and beyond to make sure your experience at the hotel is as relaxing and comfortable as possible. I decided to come to Folegandros alone, although I was nervous I could not be more grateful and appreciative of the hospitality I received. Complimentary pick up and drop off to the port is also organised by the hotel. Overall, the hotel is in very close proximity (walking distance) to all facilities including restaurants, shops, bus stop and car rental companies.

From beginning to end the staff at the hotel couldn’t be more helpful, from the free transfer from the boat and back to the excellent breakfast and the flexible checkout times, nothing was too much trouble. The hotel itself was of highest quality and located very conveniently next to the centre of the old town. If you’re coming to Folegandros you should seriously consider staying at this wonderful place.

Love this hotel!

A lovely stay in a beautiful hotel. The Hotel Polikandia is perfectly situated near the middle of Chora near to all the restaurants, cafes and bars. The rooms are spotlessly clean and ours had a view of the church. The pool area is really relaxed, pool is gorgeous, lots of sun loungers available and you can order drinks from the bar to enjoy. All the staff are so friendly and helpful - we loved the jar of honey on departure. We would love to stay here again.

Polikandia is a gem! We absolutely loved our stay and can’t wait to return. It’s right at the edge of town making everything convenient. Everyone at the hotel was incredibly helpful. The complimentary ferry pick-up and drop off made arrival and departure a breeze. Rooms are also super cute with everything you need. Great shower pressure as well. Highly recommend!

Hotel Polikandia is an absolute gem. Our room (with two bathrooms, a lovely front porch and back balcony, facing a beautiful pool surrounded by bougainvillea) was the perfect setup for our family (2 parents, 2 tweens). We greatly enjoyed the great breakfast spread, quick walking distance to restaurants, attention to little details (such as a bunch of beach umbrellas we could borrow), and super helpful hotel staff (family run). Very highly recommend!

We recently stayed at the Polikandia as a base for our nieces wedding at the Church of Panagia. The hotel is in an ideal location just on the entrance into Chora town, 10 minutes drive from the port and in a perfect position for the walk up to the church. From picking us up at the port to final checkout, Dimitrys and all the family were exceptional hosts, so friendly and welcoming. The Polikandia is a beautiful place to stay and we have no reservations in recommending to any future travellers.

This was a perfect location to walk to restaurants and shops. I also hiked to the church easily at sunrise from here. The bougainvillea around the pool was spectacular. Rooms are basic but clean and comfortable. The staff was very helpful and friendly. They were constantly cleaning up and keeping the pool area spotless. The rooftop is a nice place to watch the sunset.

My stay at Hotel Polikandia was nothing short of amazing, a cute pool area and a room with a balcony view of the Church of Panagia. There was free port transfer that was easy, and walkable distance to the bus stop to travel to other beaches. The dining options are very close by and walkable, as well as the walk to the Church of Panagia. The staff were extremely friendly and sweet. I would go back in a heartbeat - they even gave me honey to take home! Thanks for making my visit to Folegandros a great birthday trip.
