Hello,
I invite you to come see this beautiful single-level apartment located on the 1st floor of a small building in the city center. It is spacious, very comfortable (bedding: top-notch), and large windows on every side let in plenty of natural light.
I look forward to welcoming you,
Valérie
P.S.: Since the adjacent building is undergoing renovation, there may be some noise from the construction work during business hours (i.e., not on weekends) in the living room area. The bedrooms, however, are quiet.
The apartment features a large living room opening onto an open-concept kitchen. A hallway leads to a separate toilet, a small bathroom with a shower, a large bedroom (160x200 bed), and a smaller bedroom (140x200 bed).
The bedding is comfortable, and the apartment is fully equipped.
Sheets and towels are provided.
Coffee, tea, and condiments are also provided.
The entire apartment is at your disposal, except for the two closets in the living room, which are private. There is plenty of storage space available in the other rooms.
I’ll of course be available to answer your questions by phone and email before and during your stay, and depending on my schedule, I may even be able to welcome you in person, whichever you prefer!
The apartment is located right in the center of Foix, just a stone’s throw from the Halle aux Grains.
The famous Château de Foix is within walking distance. Every Friday morning, the traditional market at Place Saint-Volusien and the Allées de Villote offers high-quality local products. The neighborhood is lively, with a wide variety of charming restaurants and shops!
Parking:
To unload your car, you should be able to park at the Jean Monet parking lot (located on Place Parmentier). Throughout the city, parking is free for the first half-hour (with a ticket), from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. and from 6 p.m. to 9 a.m., as well as on weekends and holidays (except at the Allées de Villote parking lot on Saturdays). There are also several free parking lots in town. The ones that almost always have available spaces are the train station parking lot and the more centrally located Vigne parking lot (both are about a 10-minute walk away). There are no covered parking garages in Foix.
Pay close attention to the signs on Thursday evenings in anticipation of the Friday morning market, as cars parked in reserved spots will be towed!
A map of the city showing all the parking lots is included in the photos in the listing.
I try to be flexible with check-in times whenever possible. If you’d like to arrive before 2:00 p.m., please let me know in advance and I’ll have the apartment prepared as a priority. As for check-out time, it can be extended until noon, but the washing machine must be started by 11 a.m. so that the laundry is clean and dry by 2 p.m.
In any case, please respect the agreed-upon times so as not to keep the housekeeper waiting.
Please leave the apartment clean and tidy when you check out. Please note that the very modest cleaning fee covers only laundry service and the disinfection of surfaces and floors. If you’d like to arrange for a full cleaning service, this is available for an additional fee.
Regarding waste management, please note that recycling is mandatory! In addition to helping the planet, disposing of non-recyclable waste incurs a fee in Foix, and requires an access card that travelers do not have. Four trash cans are provided to make sorting easy for you. We ask that you dispose of your recyclable waste: packaging (including ALL plastic packaging), glass, paper, AND compostable waste. Please leave ONLY your non-recyclable waste on site (normally, there shouldn’t be much left after sorting). Community recycling bins are available on Place Parmentier (when leaving the building, turn right, then right again), including a community compost bin.
If the apartment is not cleaned and recyclable waste is not disposed of, we will be required to charge you an additional fee.
Do not use candles or incense, and do not smoke inside the apartment to prevent any fire hazard.
