This Beautiful Riverfront home located on the Siuslaw river is the perfect couples getaway or for that small family of four. Offering a master suite, second bedroom and bathroom along with a well equipped kitchen, cozy living room with a warm fireplace and big screen TV. Enjoy stunning views through the huge picture windows, lounge in the enclosed patio to read your favorite book or just sit back and relax. Enjoy the gas grill on the rear deck grilling your favorite meal and soaking up the beautiful scenery with your favorite bottle of wine.

What’s nearby:


Moon River Cottage is only one mile from the famed old town of Florence. Downtown Bay Street includes wonderful shopping and fantastic dining options. Another mile south on Hwy 101 you can ride the famed Oregon Dunes, or drive north a few more miles and go horseback riding on the beach. World famous Sea Lion caves are also just north of Florence along with the beautiful Heceta Head Lighthouse. You will also be minutes from numerous trailheads for hiking or mountain biking. The 
coastal forests flourishing in Douglas Fir and Sitka Spruce extend to the Ocean.

 Some trails wind up, over, and through sand dunes, offering hikers the opportunity to 
experience the unique natural wonders of this area.

Quick getaway

Lovely cottage

This is the perfect location in Florence! Quick to downtown and beaches and trails. The house is entirely remodeled and very comfortable. We will definitely be coming back again.

Perfect for Young Families

We brought our 3.5 and 1.5 year old boys for a beach getaway. This house was perfect for the 4 of us to relax and play. Beds were comfy and the view of the river was lovely! Highly recommend and hope we can make this a regular stay!

Beautiful Place on the River!

We absolutely love this house it’s so warm and inviting! We arrived and the warm glow of the fireplace started our time off so cozy. Absolutely the cleanest freshest stay we have had anywhere. All new appliances and nice furnishings. Super comfortable bed and bathrooms so beautifully done. Huge walk in shower in master was great.

Super clean house right on the river. Terrific views, perfect for 4 people. Nice kitchen, 2-car garage, so quiet. Only draw back is no walkable food options. But driving is easy!

Moon River had us “over the moon!”

Beach houses are not the easiest to keep pristinely clean while maintaining the cozy feel of riverfront living. We were beyond pleased with every aspect of the accommodations and the entire ambiance of the home. The river and dune view were a bonus!!! We can’t wait to return.0

Peaceful Retreat

We really enjoyed our stay at the Riverfront Cottage. The house was very clean and fresh, beds and bathrooms were comfortable and well-appointed. The view to the Siuslaw river was spectacular and the location is quiet and peaceful. The only note I would give, is that the kitchen was lacking in a few necessities (i.e., a corkscrew, sugar), which required some extra trips to the grocery store, which was close by. We left the corkscrew behind for the next guests to enjoy! Overall, a very pleasant stay.

Peaceful retreat for a winter getaway

The view of the river is mesmerizing. The house had everything we needed and was very well appointed. The bedrooms are small but functional. The main living areas are comfy and take advantage of the big picture windows to watch the tides change and the ducks and seals swim by. It’s close enough to town, but far enough away to be quiet and private. It’s a short drive to the expansive beach near Heceta. We hope to be back! Thank you!

Birthday vacation

Yes, this was a beautiful home beautiful view very uncomfortable kitchen table chairs. Could not find the remote for the fireplace or how the fireplace works. The only thing I think was a problem was there was no instructions in the house itself We enjoyed the beautiful view. Everything else was excellent.
