(1) Early check in, quickly denied. When the person did arrive 10 minutes late, she still had to walk past us to go get the keys and come back. Ummmm, I had previously asked if the office was nearby and could we just leave our luggage there since we were arriving before check-in. Answer was no.
(2) AIR CONDITIONERS did not work. Notice given after first sleepless night. They were never fixed during our stay, despite two notices. We were told they were blowing cool air. They were blowing air … it never cooled even the tiniest rooms. Two VRBO’s later we can confirm it was NOT our American standards expecting too much of a European air conditioner. The a/c’s DID NOT WORK.
(3) Mold/mildew: I cleaned the black stuff out of the washing machine - gross! (There is no dryer; just a drying rack.) Funny smell in bathroom is probably same culprit.
I gave this property manager so many opportunities to avoid this terrible review. I have waited five days and two other VRBO’s before deciding to share with prospective visitors how terrible this property manager is. Note that it is a company and not a person. So, there is no incentive for the multiple workers to accommodate the guest in any way. This set up allows them to constantly “talk to” and/or lay blame on “my colleague.”
On a positive note, the location is FABULOUS and the property COULD BE a five star property if a single individual cared enough to keep it up.
