  • The apartment is in the heart of Florence, at the first floor of a tipical Florentine house built in 1200. The windows overlook a secondary street of the main Via Calzaiuoli, so quiet is associated with the confort of having restaurants, caffes, shops short way away from the apartment. The apartment building is immersed in the art; few minutes from the apartment there are the magnificent Dome and the nearby Campanile designed by Giotto ,the Baptistery, Piazza della Signoria, Ponte Vecchio, Uffizi Gallery, Santa Maria Novella Church, San Lorenzo Basilica with its distinctive open-air market, Piazzale Michelangelo from which by night there is a moving view of Florence .
    It is possibile to associate culture with fun and shopping: the elegant Via Tornabuoni is reached in few minutes, likewise Piazza Santa Croce surrounded by pubs, discos, restaurants, pizzerias, theatres.
    At S.M. Novella Station, which is 10 minutes by foot from the apartment, is possibile to rent bicicles that could be a fun meanx of transport to move around Florence streets and alleys. Moreover many coaches leave from the Station to Siena, San Gimignano, Arezzo, Pisa for a pleasant trip outside the town.

5 days of priceless sites

The apt was clean, well equipped and had all that we needed. It was in a terrific location, a short walk to most of the attractive sites in Florence. We stayed for 5 nights and enjoyed our time there. The bathroom, shower and beds were small but adequate.

Great Place!

My friend and I stayed here for ten days and it was great! The location was fantastic (steps from the Duomo and three minutes from Palazzo Vecchio) along with a great little restaurant on the corner that we highly recommend (Casella 18). If you aren’t used to city noise, I would recommend earplugs for the light sleepers. But it is a great little place and we had a lovely time.

A very comfortable first time stay in the heart of Florence

Overall the place was exactly what we needed in a four night stay in Florence. The location was fantastic. Entry and exit was a simple single flight of stairs. Amazing Location in the Heart of Florence!

We stayed four nights in this fantastic location. The apartment was immaculately clean and had everything we needed for our stay. We loved being so centrally located many great restaurants, shops, and attractions in easy walking distance. We also appreciated that the apartment was only one flight up. We had an easy check in process, and we even assisted in booking our taxi for our flight to the airport. Couldn’t have had a more wonderful stay!

Great location

This flat is about 2 mins walk from the Duomo and easy walking to all the big ticket tourist sights. We walked from the station with our bags...about 15 mins. Its on the first floor and Angelas husband was on hand to help with luggage. The flat was a perfect size for the two of us...each with our own room. Heaps of restaurants very close by...we particularly liked the restaurant to the left as you leave the building. . We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect Apartment in a Perfect Location

Our group of four ladies stayed at Angela's apartment for a week in May 2024. She so kindly greeted us upon arrival and introduced us to the property and the city. The apartment was well stocked and very clean. The best part, however, was the central location, only a block from the Duomo. How lovely to step out of the door and into the heart of beautiful Firenze!

Great location, but very noisy

Nice apartment is in a superb location. Pretty clean and very comfortable. The downside is that at night it is very very noisy. This cannot be avoided if you want to be in the center of everything, but just be aware. Earplugs are a must. All in all we truly enjoyed our stay.

Apartment near Duomo

We went to Florence to visit my daughter. The apartment is a couple minutes from both her and the Duomo. The apartment was perfect for the 3 of us for 6 days. The kitchen is good for meals and having separate bedrooms gave my step daughter some space to themselves. Angela met us and gave us a tour the night we arrived. Would highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to stay in Florence.

Great Location

All of the things you want to do, see and experience are well within walking distance whether it is dining, shopping, site seeing or needing a taxi, train or bus to extend your reach. The apartment was tastefully decorated, clean and comfortable. The host was very polite and engaging explaining things you need to know and what was expected. If I am ever pack in Firenze, I would come back to this one. Firenze was a very interesting city.

In the right place

This apartment is located within walking distance of many of the iconic places to see, two blocks from the Duomo. It has all the necessary amenities that make a stay easy. Angela Montecalvo was most helpful in steering us to various grocery stores, bakery, gelato---all necessary places to visit. Angela went above and beyond in finding a taxi for us for our 4:30 am leaving of Florence after we had been most unsuccessful and were in a bit of a panic. We can recommend this apartment and its Facitlity Manager.

This spot is in the heart of Florence. It's super convenient and close to everything. I rated it a bit lower because it's just so loud. It's on a tour route (1 block from Dante's home, 2 blocks from the Basilica), and people tended to aggregate on the street below. Even in March, with the windows closed, we all had to wear earplugs each night. If you're young and part of the vibrant night life, it could be a good choice. If you're a bit older with kids who need their sleep (or you're just not fond of single beds), you might want to look a little more.

Not for grown ups

This is a tiny old apartment and something I may have been able to tolerate when in my 20’s. It is definitely NOT for adults used to any sense of comfort. The shower is good and the location is great. We paid for 3 nights and moved out after the first night to a decent hotel where we could sleep in a comfortable bed and have air conditioning. So we just donated our money to the owner. It would be fine for a couple in their 20’s but not for anyone looking for any comfort.
