Cozy Dark & Moody Home, New Reno, 10 mins to Lanc!
10/10 Excellent
"We had an excellent stay at this place! Very clean and well stocked. Host was very responsive to questions and requests. We would definitely stay here again if in the area. "
"This was our favorite place to stay so far! This house is great! Was a family trip and worked out so well. Master suite for us old folks, sons and spouse had the bedrooms, bath, and living/kitchenette area way in another section and the grandkids had the upstairs. Little things were appreciated-laundry & dishwasher pods, staples in the kitchen, coffee pods, shampoo, conditioner, and body wash in bathrooms. The location was also a plus. Most places we were planning on going were within 30-40 minutes. It was out in the country with no close neighbors and wooded. Which made it really nice. Check in and check out could not of been easier. Had a couple of questions for Justin-our host, and had an answer within minutes. He also was so nice he brought in a package my son ordered to be delivered there! Loved it! "
"We recently stayed at this beautiful historical farmhouse for our family vacation, and it was absolutely perfect. The hosts were friendly, responsive, and provided great recommendations for local attractions. If you're looking for a unique, peaceful, and memorable place for a family getaway, we highly recommend this home."
"There was significant disruptions caused by the alarm system during our recent stay at this property. These issues affected our experience to the point that we were forced to leave early, significantly disrupting rest for my entire family.
In the morning at approximately 7:00 AM, the alarm system sounded extremely loudly and continued until around 7:30 AM, abruptly waking us. I reached out to the owner via text message at that time to notify you of the issue. Later that evening, at approximately 10:00 PM, the alarm activated once again. I sent text messages at 10:08 PM and 10:10 PM, followed by a voicemail at 10:13 PM, and also reached out via email. By 10:50 PM, having received no response, I sent a final message letting the owner know that we could no longer stay under these conditions and would be vacating the property. The owners response came at 8:41 AM the following morning, by which time we had already checked into a hotel, incurring additional costs due to the last-minute reservation.
The owner had the nerve to say I should have contacted her. As if i didn’t attempt to in numerous ways.
While we understand that unexpected technical issues can arise, the repeated disruptions and lack of timely support left us with no alternative. We are still waiting for a refund and expect none. I should hire a lawyer just on principle. "
