"We had a pleasant stay here. Please note, this is at the north end of the strip. Room was clean and spacious. But it had cigarette smell which was a bummer! There was no free breakfast which is a norm these days. Room had all required amenities. They have plenty of free parking space. Ordering Uber Eats was not pleasant though. I added a note for the delivery agent that I would meet him at the front lobby. But the Valet people there sent me all the way to the back saying Uber Eats would not/should not come at the front. When I reached at the back, my agent went to the front after reading my note :/ Overall this hotel was a good experience, not great."

"The room was very clean and perfectly fine for business or if you went to experience downtown Vegas on a budget. Not a lot of great amenities in the Hotel itself but surrounded by other properties and everything you need is within walking distance including a Walgreens just across the street."

"Clean, comfortable room. Fully functioning AC; critical in 110 temps. Check in snag due to odd addition of “And” in front of my name; the clerk couldn’t find our reservation. Took about 5 minutes & consultation w/colleagues. Otherwise perfect stay. Great location on Fremont Street. We were on the 20th floor & could still hear the music outdoors; lower floors might have impact on sleep. The music is loud & runs to 1:00 a.m."

"Desk check in was good, did not have the correct information as I had asked for 2 queen bed's, and he had said king, but fixed it. Also seemed short staffed on housekeeping in the evening, but I did get what I needed. All in all a nice kept gem, not great, decent price."

"I loved the whole experience... a touch of Aloha throughout... nice and helpful staff. We had an issue with the AC unit... making a terrible noise and a burning smell... it was 115 degrees in Vegas while we were there... but I reported it and it was fixed the same day while we were out... no smell, no loud churning noise, and it cooled the room and shut off according to the Auto setting! Thanks. One incident... late night dinner/diner in the hotel is great, and very busy on Friday/Saturday nights... don't sit at the bar... service was poor and inattentive... I want to believe it was because of how busy it was...but I also noticed that the servers treated me, my 2 friends, and another couple at the poor in a gruff and begruding manner... we all are Black... then the one couple at the end were treated promptly with smiles and such... White... We all noticed. Otherwise I will stay at the hotel again for sure!"

"The Downtowner is just a genuinely friendly, easy-going, quiet and comfortable place to stay away from the constant kra-ziness of The Strip... El Cortez is nearby and Container City, and some great spots for breakfast, and you can easily walk to The Fremont Street Experience!"
