Flowers at Piers Cove Park along Lake Michigan
A nice sand covered walkway to the beach at Lake Michigan at Piers Cove Park. A small, beautiful beach, Fennville’s Pier Cove Beach features a small creek that lets out into Lake Michigan, which is often warmer than the big lake. It’s perfect for small kids to splash in! Families can also find rocks and logs and make sculptures! In the big lake, kids (and adults!) will swim to their hearts’ content. Oh, and dogs are welcome! This is the perfect pit stop to escape crowds; the only drawback: there are no bathrooms or changing rooms, so plan accordingly!
What a gem of a place! The staff are very friendly and make the tastings fun! The pretty labels are an extra bonus!

Downtown Fennville is a short walk from Kingsley House. We had dinner at The Salt of the Earth and then we walked to the local park for a free music concert. Chuck, our host, was always helpful and available to answer questions.

Don't plan on eating late. There is nothing open. A neat breakfast/lunch place in 'town', and a couple dinner choices. The whole town is maybe 2 blocks, so don't blink. Rent a car....
