In the heart of a still wild and unspoiled Ardèche valley, recharge your batteries in our house perched in the hamlet of Chalvèche, overlooking a still secret valley in the commune of Faugères.

Breathtaking view of the meadows, the banks, the forest and the horizon. At an altitude of 450m, this sublime setting will encourage you to relax and contemplate.

In freestone, independent, with a large private garden, a terrace, our recently renovated place welcomes you for unforgettable moments as a couple, family or friends. On hot days, cool off in the local Le Salindre river at the Pont du Moulinas and bubble in the shade of the sycamore tree in our garden open to the valley. In the cool evenings, warm up in front of our wood stove in a modern and authentic atmosphere.

Discover the many hikes, horseback riding and cycling from the house and the village of Faugères. Dare the canoe-kayak descent of Chassezac or Ardèche 15 minutes by car. Enjoy one of the largest markets in the region in the nearby town of Les Vans. Visit the most beautiful medieval villages of France a few kilometers away. For thrill seekers and experienced athletes, try canyoning, rafting, climbing, caving, paragliding in the area.

Our neighboring producers also offer goat cheese, honey, olive oil and quality wines.

  • This is just one of many spectacular views from a walk entitled "Pas Du Loup". We started at Capluc, a cross on a peak above Le Rozier and did the entire circuit. It's still comfortably in my top ten all time great walks. If you suffer acrophobia it's one to be avoided. The area is also something of a mecca for rock climbers. The whole Goreg du Tarn is a special place for me because the tourist buses don't go there and it's reputedly the deepest gorge in Europe.

Top locatie voor diegenen dat rust en stilte wensen. Het huisje is uitgerust met alle nodige voorzieningen. Er zijn vele wandel mogelijkheden in de nabije omgeving. Leuke stadjes in de nabije buurt.

Wir waren 10 Tage als Familie im schönen Haus von Nathalie. Das liebevoll restaurierte Haus und der Garten entspricht den Fotos.An vielen Stellen sind tolle Details. Einrichtung und Dekoration ist stilvoll und aufgeräumt. Eine schöne Mischung aus Naturelementen und modernem Design.In der gut eingerichteten Küche haben wir alles nötige gefunden. Der Esstisch steht etwas nah an der Küchenzeile, so dass man sich schnell im Weg steht. Das Wohnzimmer ist mega gemütlich,, den Kamin haben wir im Sommer nicht genutzt.Die beiden Zimmer haben sehr bequemen Betten, einen großen Schrank und weitere Ablageflächen. Das Bad ist ein voll gefliester Raum("glow-in-the-dark" Effekt) mit einer tollen Dusche und einem Waschbecken.Daneben ist die seperate Toilette mit einem kleinen Handwaschbecken. Entgegen anderer Bewertungen hat für uns das Händewaschen dort funktioniertOben ist das Mezzanine mit zwei bequemen Einzelbetten. Naturgemäß ist dies ein offener Bereich ohne eigene Tür. Im Sommer ist es hier ziemlich warm, allerdings lassen sich 2 Dachflächenfenster öffnen, wenn es nicht regnet.Im Sommer wird es sehr warm in der Gegend somit auch im Haus. Es hilft Nachts zu lüften, aber Achtung: Mücken!Der Blick aus dem Garten ins Tal ist toll, die kalte Außendusche ist eine super Erfrischung. Den in der Beschreibung stehenden Whirlpool gibt es nicht, das war uns aber klar. Es führen sehr kleine Straßen zu dem Haus, dafür gibt es viel Ruhe und einen tollen Sternenhimmel! Wir kommen wieder!

Nous avons adoré la vue sur la vallée verdoyante. La propriété est orientée au Nord-Est et plutôt bien ombragée. On a pas trop souffert de la chaleur malgré la canicule. Nous avons laissé un guide très utile listant les plus fameux points de baignades dans un rayon de 30mn de route (et au-delà). Plus près, en cherchant un peu, on trouve aussi des points baignade plus petits mais charmants, calmes et agréables, comme au pont de la rivière de Galindres, derrière Faugès, à 5mn en voiture. De superbes vacances, petits et grands ont adoré! Et on était toujours contents de retourner à cette belle maison après l'escapade quotidienne. C'est dans une impasse, d'un calme rare et les enfants pouvaient jouer dans le jardin ou même sur la route en toute sécurité. Le voisinage est très sympathique et serviable - à la campagne, on manque vite de quelque chose, alors on s'entraide :) Bref, nous recommandons!

Entspannender Aufenthalt trotz viel Regen

Leider hat uns an Ostern die Regenfront voll getroffen und es hat 2 Tage geschüttet. In der Wohnung waren wir warm und trocken. Der Kaminofen hat uns wohlige Wärme bereitet. Das ist ein großes Plus für die Wohnung, wenn man so früh im Jahr unterwegs ist.Wir waren 3 Erwachsene und 3 Teenager plus 2 Hunde. Die Wohnung ist groß genug und bietet alles was man braucht. Sie ist hochwertig und sehr geschmackvoll renoviert.Wir waren begeistert, dass es ein Induktionskochfeld und einen guten Ofen gab. Das hat das Kochen erleichtert und früh gab es immer aufgebackenes Baguette. Der nächste Bäcker oder Supermarkt ist morgens einfach zu weit weg.Da wir natürlich wegen des Wetter Jacken brauchten, wäre eine Garderobe hilfreich gewesen. Wir haben den Wäscheständer umfunktioniert.Die Betten waren bequem und groß genug, auch wenn man 1,90m ist.Es gibt hinter dem Schuppen des Nachbarn einen Boule Platz - kurz geklingelt und gefragt und wir durften ihn nutzen.Weiter oben am Hang befindet sich ein Hotel, war an Ostern nicht offenFür uns war das Gite ein guter Ausgangspunkt zum Kajakfahren, Klettern und Wandern. Aber ja, man muss schon etwas Wegezeit und enge Straßen in Kauf nehmen. Dafür ist es ruhig, hat einen grandiosen Blick und man kann direkt hinter dem Haus mit dem Hundespaziergang beginnen. Für uns war der Raum unter der Terasse zudem ein großes Geschenk, um die nassen Kajakklamotten zu trocknen.Wenn aus Deutschland die Anreise nicht so weit wäre, würden wir sicher öfter kommen.

Entspannte Herbstferien

Wir waren Mitte Oktober Faugères. Das Wetter meinte es gut mit uns und wir konnten tagsüber Temperaturen von 19 bis 21 Grad genießen. Die Abende haben wir vor dem gemütlichen Kaminofen verbracht. Dessen Wärme wird auch benötigt, da es nachts doch schon recht kühl war. Dankbar waren wir unserer Gastgeberin für den Hinweis, eine Säge einzupacken, denn das Kaminholz musste noch auf Länge geschnitten werden. Auch Anzünder hatten wir dabei, was sehr hilfreich war. Die Unterkunft lässt keine Wünsche offen. Allerdings scheint zu dieser Jahreszeit nur für etwas zwei Stunden die Sonne auf die schöne Terrasse, so dass wir regelmäßig auf den oberhalb des Hauses verlaufenden Wanderweg ausgewichen sind, um in der Sonne zu sitzen und die Aussicht zu genießen. Der Kontakt zu unserer Vermieterin war super - ganz herzlichen Dank dafür!

Juste parfait et très calme

Emplacement retiré des zones touristiques, dans un petit hameau de maisons, c’est vraiment très tranquille à la fin août, même avec les voisins. Maison agréable, suffisamment "fraîche" grâce à la pierre, et suffisamment à l'ombre pour le jardin ou la terrasse. Il y a tout le nécessaire de base. Jolies balades tout de suite à pied. La propriétaire est au petit soin dans la communication, et la personne qui vous accueille est attentionnée. En bref, habitation à recommander !

Hameau authentique au décor apaisant et ressourçant

Très beau gîte fonctionnel au départ de nombreuses ballades aux paysages variés . Le travail des hommes et de la nature a façonné cette petite vallée où nous nous ressourçons véritablement pour la deuxième année consécutive. Une vraie découverte.

Séjour en famille.

Nous avons passé une semaine magnifique. Tout correspondait à nos attentes. Le calme et la tranquilité de la maison nous ont fait un bien fou. Et pas loin de là, il y avait toutes les activités dont nous voulions (rando, canoë, rivières pour les baignades, vieux villages typiques...). Nous reviendrons certainement.

Sehr schönes, ruhig gelegenes Haus, mit allem, was man für einen schönen Aufenthalt benötigt!

Wir (vier Erwachsene) hatten einen sehr schönen Aufenthalt in dem ruhig gelegenen Ferienhaus. Schön renoviert und innen komfortabel und schön ausgestattet. Mit der verfügbaren Ausstattung konnten wir alle Gerichte, welche uns in den Sinn gekommen sind, hervorragend zubereiten. Mit dem verfügbaren Induktionsherd ist ein sehr komfortables Kochen möglich. An den Schlafzimmern (inkl. Betten) gibt es keinen Grund zu irgendwelchen Beanstandungen. Auch das Badezimmer lässt keine Wünsche offen. Das große Wohn-Esszimmer mit Küche ist offen und gemütlich. Da wir meisst schönes Wetter hatten, haben wir uns jedoch die ganzen Abende auf der Terasse aufgehalten und auch dort gegessen. Da man sich auf dem Land befindet ist der nächste Supermarkt und Bäcker nicht nebenan. Aber das war ja zu erwarten. Hierzu muss man eben etwas fahren. Der Kontakt zu den Besitzern war überaus problemlos; Rückfragen wurden prompt beantwortet. Auch Wünsche und Bitten wurden überaus nett beantwortet und auch berücksichtigt. Die komplette Abwicklung, von Buchung des Objektes, Übergabe und Nutzung des Ferienhauses, bis hin zu dessen Rückgabe und Erhalt der Kaution erfolgte genauso, wie man sich das im Vorfeld wünscht! Keine Überraschungen und überaus empfehlenswert! So soll es sein und passt hervorragend zu einem schönen Urlaub.

Mise au vert réussie !

Les prestations de la maison étaient en tout point conformes à l'annonce et les photos très réalistes, ce qui n'est malheureusement pas le cas de toutes les locations où parfois les vues sont tronquées. Tout à fait adaptée pour venir avec des animaux. Idéal pour avoir envie de se déconnecter d'Internet et se resourcer. Cette propriété est une excellente base arrière pour effectuer de superbes randonnées en sud ardèche le matin à 20-30 mn maxi de route et profiter de l'ombre du jardin l'après midi (une superbe vue en toile de fond) avant d'enchaîner sur un bon repas en terrasse avec vue sur une petite oliveraie (le voisin est super sympa). Et merci aussi à M. BARTH pour l'accueil. Nous recommandons sinçèrement cette maison. Bruno et Murielle S.

Wunderbare Erholung

Wir waren im Mai an diesem wunderbaren Ort und haben uns jeden Tag am Vogelgezwitscher erfreut. Wir haben uns in dem geschmackvoll renovierten Haus sehr wohl gefühlt und es hat an nichts gefehlt. Cedric war sehr freundlich und der im Kühlschrank für uns plazierte Rosé schmeckte vorzüglich! Es ist ein ruhiger, abgelegener Ort von dem man entweder direkt oder nach 30-60 minütigen Autofahrten wunderbare Wanderungen unternehmen kann. Für Leute die Ruhe, Abgeschiedenheit und Natur lieben und dennoch ein komfortables Haus haben möchten genau das Richtige!

La maison est très joliment et bien restaurée et l'emplacement superbe. La région est magnifique. Nous avons passé d,excellentes vacances. Cependant pour une maison homelidays des choses sont à améliorer. Dans le descriptif il est mentionné deux salles de bain (corrigé depuis) alors que la maison dispose d'une douche à l'italienne superbe mais où il est impossible de laisser la moindre trousse de toilette. Et d'un petit lave-mains dans les toilettes où il est sportif de se brosser les dents. Les lits n'étaient pas faits à l'arrivée, le linge de toilette minimaliste et le ménage très aléatoire (poussière Kleenex sale sous un lit...) L'équipement électroménager est conforme au descriptif et en bon état de marche. Le petit équipement est sommaire : assiettes dépareillées, pas d'essoreuse à salade, couverts à minima. Il serait souhaitable que le ménage de fin de séjour soit imposé à tous afin que ceux qui le payent en supplément (ce qui est normal) puissent en bénéficier à l'entrée dans les lieux. L'accueil de Cédric est chaleureux (eau et rosé frais dans le frigo) un petit plan d'accès serait le bienvenu... Toutes ces critiques ne visent qu'à améliorer la réputation des locations "homelidays " non à dévaloriser cette belle maison arrangée avec goût et située dans un hameau sympathique, calme avec une vue magnifique.

This is a wonderful and incredibly well renovated house in the heart of the Ardeche mountains.

We went as a family with a friend and had a great time. It is situated in a lovely quiet village looking out over a valley and epitomizes a real Ardeche experience. We loved to come back after a day visiting the attractions in the valley which was full to bursting with people on vacation. We went horse riding in an hour long trail in the woods with the local horse farm. One thing though that should be made clear in the advertisement is that it is really remote. It is a good 15 min drive along single lane roads to get to and about 25 min to the nearest bakery and fruit and vegetable store. We didn't realize it would be so far, though in the end it added to the charm and get away from the crowds elsewhere. Lastly, the photo of the swimming pool shouldn't be used. There is no pool at all and I don't understand why the beauty of the countryside and the characterful renovations and location in a real rustic village aren't enough charm. We had a wonderful time, though the single lane roads were a bit hair raising at times.

Un petit coin de paradis en pleine nature

Un temps " famille" inoubliable. La maison est superbe, meublée avec goût et le cadre fabuleux. Dans un hameau perché la vue est à couper le souffle et le calme apaisant. Merci à Cedric pour son accueil et ses attentions. Nous reviendrons !
