Breathtaking views amid a “PEACE” of heaven!

Beautiful views of the mountains and piedmont seconds off the Blue Ridge Parkway. The Retro Bungalow offers breathtaking views with a nostalgic vibe. A cozy home with a large deck to have coffee, a meal, or just sit, relax and soak in the scenery!
Swing on the covered front porch while listening to the babbling creek. We are pet friendly, have a fenced in yard and a gated deck to provide peace of mind and security for your pet. ($25 pet fee) Step inside and back in time!
The space
One bedroom with one King Size bed. Cozy living room with electric fireplace, console stereo and smart tv. Fully equipped kitchen with cooking basics. Dining area. Bar cart to mix up some classic cocktails. Full bath. Spacious, pet safe deck with a breathtaking view! Fenced in front yard with covered porch with swings.
Guest access
Guests will have full access to the house, deck, and outdoor fire pit.

Amazing views, an awesome blast from the past place to stay, an overall great area if you love, peace, and quiet. There are also some really nice trails in the area. And an overall great person to book with. My wife and I and our pup enjoyed our stay to say the least!

Totally loved this place! It gave us the get away we needed. Plenty of places to sit outside and enjoy the beauty…whether it was in the front porch swing, in a chair on the back deck, in the hammock, or by the fire pit. Gorgeous view of the sunrise. This bungalow was very clean and inviting. Loved being able to take our dog with us. Appliances were all working and pots and pans available for cooking. We had a wonderful stay!

The Retro Bungalow was so unique inside and out! We loved all of the retro decor that brought back memories of our childhood. The view was gorgeous and was my favorite thing. It was so close to the Blue Ridge Parkway for proximity to hiking. Thank you Darlene for opening your special place! We will be back.

This is our 2nd stay at the retro bungalow. We love the location. We have friends that live close by. We love the area, being close to the blue ridge parkway and access to many quaint local towns. The best sky colors & sunsets.

Nice small country cottage right off the Blueridge Parkway. Great place to get away from it all! Had a nice time at the Labor Day Fleamarket in Hillsville, Va. Definitely would stay there again.

God’s Country

A perfect backdrop for a romantic weekend! A very cute bungalow with awesome views day and night! Close to Mayberry USA, antique shops and hiking. Drove out to Mabry Mill and took in a show at the Andy Griffith Theatre. A bunch of deer and a momma bear with her cubs made an appearance on a back road! Highly recommend the steaks at 13 Bones Restaurant!

Serenity and peace

The little retro house was so unique....a step back in time! We spent most of our time on the deck constantly eyeing the magnificent views!!! Really liked that it was all fenced in so we didn't have to worry about our little dog. Best anniversary weekend get away ever!!
