Breakfast options were plentiful and diverse. Nice bathroom facilities and a nice big bed with sufficient blankets and duvets. Location was a bit removed from harbour area but that meant it was quiet at night.

Room was very clean, nice and cool during the hot weather too and the same with the indoor pool. All the staff were lovely and were happy to help. The breakfast was nice, lots of option - especially for gluten free! Closest beach is only 10-15 min walk and the town centre is also only around 15 minute walk away too.

A thoroughly pleasant stay (long weekend), polite and friendly staff. Breakfast hearty, varied and good quality. Room was nicely appointed and a comfortable bed. Hotel parking is just enough. Good to see that provision is made for destination charging for EVs but the price/kWh is very high.

Friendly and engaging breakfast staff, incredible swimming pool and jacuzzi area inside the pool. We staying in a big room with a stunning balcony, lovely bathroom and wonderful Temple spa bathing products and toiletries. The lovely young woman (slender student with short hair) who cleans the pool and responded to delivering us any missed items to our room was attentive and gave great information when we asked about services. She is a true gem and nothing was ever too much, she deserves a pay rise! A lovely touch was the wonderful gift bag my partner and I received as we checked out which contained sparkling water, perfect for our long drive back to London in the hot weather. Thank you Merchants Manor for a memorable stay, we enjoy every minute and wish you ongoing success of your charming hotel. Eternal blessing to all staff.

This hotel is lovely. The decor is beautiful and the rooms are stunning. The only niggle we had was that the bathroom didnt have a shower (it had a beautiful freestanding bath and gorgeous period features) but if you wanted to get up and out the door you need the shower. Breakfast menu and other options were of a high quality. Loved the fact you could boil your own eggs! Just some really nice touches. Would stay again if I find myself in Falmouth.

Good parking, pleasant staff, clean room and comfortable bed. Breakfast options were excellent. Over bath shower was a challenge without grab rail and water pressure was quite low and took time to get to temperature. Good selection of toiletries. A soft close and better fitting toilet seat would be an improvement.

We had a wonderful overnight stay for my husband's 70th birthday. Our room was amazing and very big and the bathroom was great, especially the powerful shower and lovely toiletries. We had a swim in the lovely pool and we also went in the jacuzzi. I also went in the sauna. The breakfast was fantastic; such a wide range of choice and the food was excellent. We would definitely recommend the Merchants Manor and would certainly stay there again.

Bedroom was in need of a lot of work, including a new bathroom. The bath itself was stained from being so old. Photos can be misleading, as our bedroom looked over a flat roof and carpark. Jacuzzi not working in the pool, nor the sauna. For the money, you’d expect a lot more.

Hotel was ok but the self-service check-in and check-out is cold, unfriendly and unwelcoming. It’s like ordering at a fast food restaurant and definitely not in keeping with this standard of hotel. The car park is a reasonable size but mostly occupied by spa members. When we arrived the only space left was in front of the hotel so my wife and I went to check in and ask reception where we should park. With nobody around, and just the screen to check in, we were left to roam around and try to find our room. The computer does everything apart from say where your room is. When we eventually found a member of staff, our first human greeting was being moaned at to move the car! Checking out was a similar experience. Nobody around, just the sterile, impersonal computer system. We checked out and as we left we saw two cars parked in the exact area we’d been rather grumpily told we couldn’t park the night before. I frequently travel to Falmouth and I’ve stayed in many of the hotels in and around the town over the last 5 years. This was my first experience of Merchant’s Manor and I consider it one I’d only use as a last resort in future.
