The Space:
A private pool villa with a large patio, just a few kilometers from the famous Matala Beach, combining luxury and attention to detail, will offer you a unique experience. The area combines a unique blend of comfort, privacy, and authentic charm, which will make you enjoy moments of leisure and relaxation. The two-storey villa features a comfortable and thoughtfully planned layout, making it ideal for families, couples, or small groups.
On the ground floor, you’ll find a bright and airy lounge area, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring. The comfortable seating and welcoming atmosphere create an inviting space to unwind, while the sofa beds can comfortably accommodate two additional guests. The fully equipped kitchen provides everything you need to prepare meals with ease, whether it’s a quick breakfast or a relaxed dinner.
Upstairs, the first floor offers two cozy bedrooms. The first bedroom features a double bed, while the second includes two single beds that can be joined together upon request. Both rooms provide ample storage space to ensure a comfortable and restful stay. The villa also includes one full bathroom with all essential amenities, along with an additional half bathroom for added convenience.
Large windows and outdoor access connect the indoor spaces with the natural surroundings, creating a seamless flow between comfort and nature. The highlight of the property is the private pool and outdoor area, where you can relax, dine, and enjoy the peaceful Cretan landscape.

The villa is set in a peaceful and authentic area of southern Crete, surrounded by unspoiled nature, olive groves, and traditional villages that offer a true taste of local life. Despite its tranquility, the location provides easy access to some of the island’s most famous beaches. Matala Beach (approx. 10 minutes) is famous for its unique caves and bohemian history, once a haven for hippies in the 1960s. Nearby Kommos Beach (15 minutes) offers a quieter, more natural setting with long sandy shores, ideal for relaxation. Red Beach (15–20 minutes) stands out for its striking red sand and clear turquoise waters, perfect for adventurous visitors. For unforgettable day trips, the villa is a great base to explore Crete’s most iconic destinations. Elafonissi Beach (approx. 2.5–3 hours) is world-famous for its pink-hued sand and shallow turquoise waters, while Balos Lagoon (around 3–3.5 hours) offers breathtaking exotic scenery. Preveli Beach (1.5–2 hours), with its palm forest and river, is another unique destination worth visiting.

A car is highly recommended to fully explore the region and nearby beaches, including the famous Matala Beach just a short drive away. Free parking is available on-site.
Within a few minutes’ drive, you’ll find local tavernas, cafes, mini markets, and essential services. The surrounding area is perfect for scenic drives through traditional villages and the beautiful Cretan countryside.
Public transport options are limited, so having your own vehicle will give you the flexibility to enjoy everything Crete has to offer at your own pace.

The accommodation and the swimming pool is available all year round, making it a perfect choice whether you’re visiting for summer holidays, autumn city breaks, winter escapes or spring getaways.

In Pombia, you will find several nice options for traditional food, coffee, and drinks. For traditional Cretan food, you can visit To Steki tou Zachari, a well-known local tavern with very good reviews, Cretan dishes, and generous portions. Another nice option is Ta Tsakirakia, a family-run tavern offering homemade food in a calm and welcoming environment. You can also try Tiganakia, a meze restaurant serving traditional small dishes and local flavors.
For coffee or drinks, Malibu Cafe-Bar is a popular choice in the area, ideal for coffee, drinks, and a relaxed evening out. You may also visit Kafeneion “Kafenes” Pombia Heraklion, a traditional village café where you can enjoy coffee and experience the local atmosphere. Other local coffee options include Koniotis Cafe and Caffe Caffe – Koniotakis K. Stylianos.
If you do not mind driving 5–10 minutes outside Pombia, Taverna I Lemonia in Petrokefali is also a nice nearby option for traditional food.
