Great for family gathering

Beautiful quiet spot with spacious house. Well prepared and stocked. Worked well for us as we attended wedding celebrations at nearby ranch venue. Comfortable beds plenty of towels, helpful labels all over the house.

family get away

The home had plenty of room for our family. The beds were very comfortable. The kitchen was equipped with plenty of things to cook with, but a lot of stuff needs upgrading. serving bowls, waffle maker, coffee maker. there were no nonstick pans for cooking. There were plenty of cups, glasses and silverware. We like to cook so I found that the kitchen lacked in having everything we needed. Also, the was a lot of old condiments that should be cleaned out. The cleanliness of the kitchen and living room especially under the couches was not that great.. overall our stay was great, beautiful location!

Post Wedding Bridal Shower

We had a really nice time catching up with family and celebrating our bride. The location has PLENTY of sleeping accommodations and the it is convenient if you want to spend a day at local areas such at the ski slopes or Buena Vista. The host is exceptional and communicates well.

Colorado wedding stay

Location in beautiful area.. house had plenty of room for all… Problem with grill and outside propane firepit. Perhaps these should’ve been looked at prior to us coming in for the stay to make sure that they worked properly. I was also hoping to use the patio heater on the deck, but that did not have propane in it either. Perhaps they were in the garage, however, it would seem that the management company should’ve had that already and set for us before we arrived . I know Pat was trying to help us with the grill, but we weren’t able to get it going any better.

Colorado adventure

We came to Fairplay for a wedding. We had 12 guest with us. The home was beautiful. Just 5 min outside of FairPlay. Plenty of beds for everyone plus additional beds that were never used. We enjoyed the many amenities. The kitchen was very well stocked!

Great Place!

We had a large family reunion and this house was perfect for it! All of the beds were nice and the pillows were super comfy! Lots of towels and blankets for everyone. The kitchen had everything that we needed plus lots of space for all of our stuff. We used the fire place every night and the sauna was a nice touch that was used as well. The very large dining table with an insert to make it bigger was nice for eating and playing card games. We got perfect weather on our last full day and we had lots of room outside for yard games plus plenty of parking. The area is nice and quiet and very close to town. If you have a large group then this is the perfect house- so many beds for everyone! Pat was a great host and answered any questions that we had very quickly. Thank you for helping us have a wonderful vacation!

Great Stay

The house was clean, the property owner was great, it was the perfect place to celebrate my 30th birthday. Close enough to Breckinridge so we could go hang out there. It was great! The kitchen was stocked! The only issue we had was running out of toilet paper but that’s an easy fix :)

Great spot to ring in the new year.

My family soaked up the quality time together at this wonderful property. The owner (Pat) was incredible and so informative. His communications (written and over the phone) were helpful and appreciated. Plenty of room to spread out and great common areas to enjoy everyone’s company. We loved it. Thank you, Pat!

Beautiful mountain cabin

Easy to communicate with owner, fast response time, very friendly Beautiful and spacious! Lots of thoughtful touches with supplies Tons of beds! Tons of space for lots of people to get ready for a wedding even. Nice space outdoors as well Clean, comfortable Full size kitchen appliances and a couple washer /dryer sets Would def stay again

Great Family Cabin

This was a great cabin for our Cousin Crew Family trip. The bunk room was perfect for the young cousins and the basement was perfect for those with children. We had one cousin in a wheelchair and the main floor room near the bathroom was great. The kitchen and grills were fantastic and perfect for our family-style meals! Thank you for a great family retreat!

Home away from home

The owner was awesome checked in with us and made sure we were taken care of. The property was just as great. We enjoyed cooking in the kitchen while the fire kept us nice and cozy. Highly recommended!!!

Beautiful home and location

My family and I has a wonderful stay while all being under the same roof. It was a short 40 minute drive to Keystone and only 25 minutes to Breckenridge. The owner was always there if we needed him and provided great hospitality. We will definitely stay here again next time we are in Colorado!

Fairplay Fun

We rented this cabin for a family getaway! We enjoyed being away from civilization and reconnecting as a family. Fairplay had just the amount of activities we needed and was close enough to the Royale Gorge for us to visit one day. Thanks for the memories!

Fantastic experience!

High Creek Hideaway was a great place to stay for my whole family! The home was spacious, clean, and updated! Beautiful home!

Beautiful vacation home with plenty of room for a large group. The place was clean and owner was easy to work with. Saw huge herds of elk as we drove up which was amazing. Knew we couldn't have fire in the outdoor fire pit (due to HOA) which was a bummer as it would have been beautiful. All in all a great place and an excellent vacation!

Great Stay

The cabin was clean and ready to go. Very nice surrounding area, filled with trees and mountain views. Beds are a little used, oven didn't heat up all the way, and absolutely no campfires allowed whatsoever. The cabin states that it sleeps 25 but the living space provides little room to maneuver about with that many. I would suggest under 15-20 is more like it. It was a quiet getaway and with a smaller size group, we would come back for sure!

Too many problems

We traveled over 1500 miles to this destination and didn’t anticipate any problems. The first night the house was extremely overheated and the children ended up sick. The previous guest had turned off a fan for the heating unit which caused us to put the kids in the basement because of natural gas fumes on the second floor. During this time a neighbor knocked in the door complaining of a fire we had started in the fire pit (all emails I had received told us thst we were able to use fire pit and wood provided). I apologized and tried to explain the situation to a very rude and hateful woman who in return mocked us and reported us the next day to the homeowners association. Overall the house would of been a perfect match with the exception of the couple problems. We ended up leaving a day early because we couldn’t relax and enjoy our trip. After we left I received a text from the owner who said the cleaning lady would be there at 10 instead of 11 because more guest would be arriving later that day. In my opinion we should of been compensated for the day lost instead of hurried out (even though we had chose to leave). The owner was extremely kind and helpful but I can’t leave a high rating because of the issues we had.
