Cottage on the Pond

Situated on the edge of a pond this lovely quiet cottage is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the afternoon sun from the deck after a day of exploring in the Buller area. Listen to the birds or try to spot the resident eel Frank. There is also a lovely track around the property.
This 2 bedroom cottage is in a lovely rural location away from the road, no early morning traffic just bird song.
Large kitchen equipped with pantry staples(coffee,tea,salt,pepper,oil)

Place quiet and peaceful...cottage surrounded by nature with mountain views. Just 10 mins from city...hostess Marie was prompt in replying. As a sweet gesture she left us cheese, crackers and sweet red apples.

The cottage was perfect for our two night stay in Westport. It had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Just a short drive to town it was in a quiet rural location. We will definitely stay here again if we return to the region and happuly recommend it to anyone wanting well presented accommodation in a great location.

This cottage was awesome! Delicious bread, wine & butter upon arrival, a pond that was hours of entertainment for our 5 & 7 year old with a resident eel, 3 outdoor areas around the private pond. The cottage was cosy & super clean. Idyllic surroundings, so quiet & peaceful!

There was a stunning vista all round, so peaceful and I enjoyed feeding Frank in the pond. The cottage itself was nice with good cooking facilities. I can't wait to go back there for another stay. :-)

We loved our stay at the cottage. It was lovely and quiet for the adults and there is plenty of space for the kids. The kids loved the pond and the eels and spent most of their time outside. The hosts were very welcoming and the cottage itself had everything we needed. It’s a great location close to Westport and a short drive to many of the activities we wanted to do on the coast.

Owner left some bread, cheese, butter, and bubbly, which were an unexpected treat. The deck, grill area, and pond made for a beautiful setting. A few small things in the house needed attention, but all was clean and the layout of the place was wonderful.

We loved the house we stayed in just out of Westport. The house is very clean and tidy, the beds were very comfy. The homemade bread and cheese and wine was such a lovely surprise. Beautiful setting with a pond and a nice walkway around it.We loved the bird sounds.Thankyou .
