Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
Room was clean and the bed comfortable. Good breakfast! The walls are paper thin so you hear everything. And there is a bar outside that has a lot of ‘on the street’ action. It was loud and very disruptive.
Unfriendly staff; pool and workout small but clean; great location downtown, shops to explore and restaurants. Rooms are not brightly lit which is fine in summer but sad in winter. Free breakfast is meh. Small parking lot fills up quickly and you may have to park across the street often due to the overflow.
The whole place was wonderful. Perfect location. Staff there was extremely friendly! Room was large, clean, beds were very comfortable. We didn't wake up in time for breakfast but other people enjoyed it.
The rooms were big . The entire hotel smelled fresh. We had the perfect view. Breakfast was decent. Front desk was helpful. Great location. Overall our stay there was great and I would definitely stay again.
The room was ample and clean. The staff for the most part were very friendly and accommodating. The daily breakfast was very welcome, considering the generally high price of restaurant food in Fairbanks as elsewhere.
The location of the facility, in the old downtown area, is convenient to some of the local restaurants, which is a plus. They also provide a free hourly shuttle service to a number of places in town.
Another plus is the photo souvenir shop in the lobby, which is operated by a local photographer who has a multitude of prints of wildlife and scenes in a variety of forms from refrigerator magnets to metal 8x10 wall prints.
We used the Springhill as a base for a week long trip that focused on seeing the aurora borealis and got more than we bargained for.
