"Beautiful hotel with spacious comfortable room. Choice of restaurants and lovely bar serving great food indoors or out.Adjacent to the most wonderful gardens - towels and bath robe provided to use the thermal pool. Good parking on site and central town location. indoor pool and spa facilities. Staff wee very helpful on arrival and available to answer all our queries about the area. Highly recommend."

"The view!!! While deciding where to stay in the Azores, I do not think the reviews were clear about the view at this location. Truly, the view was amazing. We were lucky that our room had an incredible view, but the view can be enjoyed from many places throughout the resort. The staff were so helpful and friendly. The room had a hot tub, and it was a great for unwinding at the end of a long day exploring. The food was very good at dinner, breakfast just OK in my opinion. The mocktail (Sunset Sour) was the best mocktail I’ve ever had. Creative, delicious, local ingredients… all contribute to the food and drink at this location. We had a couples massage in the outdoor hut, listening to the waves crash against the shore. Extremely enjoyable and memorable."

"Phillipe greeted us with warmth and kindness. Breakfast buffet was good and well maintained, supper buffet was often less maintained and rarely had food in all the food warmers and generally lacked dessert options other that gelatin like items. It was nice to have live music, pool table to meet with our friends after supper and a day of exploring the island. Rooms were clean however, the carpet is old, tired and some stains. Because of the humidity from the ocean and climate the room would smell musty when returning until the air conditioner had been on for a while again. The room does not maintain air conditioning when you leave as your room key needs to be inserted to have any power to the room. Lighting for getting ready is minimal so if you like to do your makeup bring your own light."

"From the moment you arrive at Furnas Lake Forest Living, you feel a sense of calm. The reception was easy to find and we received a very warm welcome and explanation of the property, then were guided to our house. It was a very personal experience and I appreciated the attentiveness of the staff. The houses are secure, quiet, immaculately clean, and situated in a stunning forested area. There are even koi fish in the moat around the houses. All of the finishings were thoughtful and on brand for the location. We were able to enjoy the a la carte breakfast prior to checking out, and it was both delicious and satisfying. I'm very sad that we were unable to secure a reservation for dinner due to a conflicting reservation, but that just means we are due for a trip back! They are working on a spa and additional houses, which will make an already spectacular experience even better, I'm sure. Obrigada for making us feel right at home during our short stay. Can't wait to visit again (for longer this time)."
