"So glad we found this great little Hotel tucked away in Hathersage.
We could not have found a nicer place for a short break, the staff were very friendly, very efficient, food wonderful and room and the property in general absolutely great!
Thank you so much for a great stay, we will definately be returning"
"This was our second time at this location. It’s a Lovely place to stay with Dog friendly rooms. Breakfast and evening meal were great. Staff very friendly and accommodating Definitely go back & would recommend too."
"Really great hotel in a perfect location...
Our room was perfect, clean, large & well furnished. Bed, linen & towels all freshly laundered. Evening meal was well presented with lovely fresh local products. The menu and choices were very varied. ( Maybe not too much choice if you dont eat red meat. ) The dining room is well set out and in the summer months
would be lovely to be able to sit outside ( we visited January 2026 ) The breakfast menu was equally charming and a difficult decision as what to order. The food was presented perfectly and tasted devine. Perfect presentation and all staff friendly, helpful and professional. So many pictures, painting and photographs on the walls, the lighting was amazing, the decorating and maintenace kept to a high standard. Walking around it could easily be mistaken for a private collection of effects... we didnt use or order from the bar. It was very busy and seats and tables were busy busy with families, hikers & guests of the hotel Would defo stay again. A beautiful part of England. "
