Rooms are old, need updating badly. Sink filled with water and wouldn’t drain properly. Toilet wobbled. TV constantly lost connection and it took several minutes to try to reconnect it with bad cables. If it wasn’t for the historical value, I would call the hotel seedy.

Basin Park is a historical landmark in Eureka Springs and is over 120 years old. That being said its not a modern hotel with modern anything. The rooms are small, the floors squeak, doors dont set right, and water pressure even on the 2nd floor was terrible. The hotel staff are very pleasant and helpful people and the spa on the 2nd floor is a very nice amenity and well worth the price. The hotel does not have parking on site. They have you park in a lot and shuttle you back and forth, what they dont tell you is that they charge you for parking. It is a nice little romantic getaway full of history but its definitely not what most people expect from a hotel.

Basin Park Hotel ⭐️⭐️ (2/5) I wanted to enjoy our stay, but unfortunately the experience was consistently disappointing. Service issues occurred daily, and several staff interactions came across as rude or dismissive rather than helpful. We arrived after the stated check-in time and were still made to wait an additional 40 minutes for our room to be ready, with no apology or accommodation offered. Once in the room, things didn’t improve. The phone did not work, so calling downstairs wasn’t an option. There was no room cleaning, no replenishment of basics, and no amenities that would justify the price point. The most frustrating part was paying $125 for a charcuterie board that was honestly embarrassing—poor presentation, minimal portions, and nowhere near the quality or value expected for that cost. Due to the ongoing issues and lack of resolution, we ultimately checked out a day early, cutting our stay short. Overall, the hotel relies heavily on its historic charm, but charm alone doesn’t make up for poor service, lack of amenities, and subpar experiences. With better management, training, and attention to guest experience, this place could be much better—but as it stands, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hotel is historical and has been updated keeping the historical look. Bed was comfortable, spacious and clean. The bathroom shower was renovated. Wifi was good. We liked having the microwave, small fridge and separate sitting area. Staff was friendly. Cleaning ladies were accomodating. We stayed during the week of Christmas so dining was limited. We were disappointed they didnt put on their website that they would not be offering breakfast as usual. We used the hot tub one night but jets werent working so that ladted about 5 minutes. We got out and decided to sit by the firepit but it wasnt working either. May have been out of propane? Parking is a long walk although yiu can park to unload in front of the hotel. The hotel provides a free shuttle to and from the parking lot and anywhere you want to go. Basin Park is right outside the door.

The staff was so kind and went above and beyond to make sure we had a great stay. The Basin had a lot of great amenities and was walking distance to many shops and restaurants. Plan on staying again in the future.

Room was very cramped. Front desk staff was not very welcoming. We did enjoy the game room and bar. We ate in the restaurant and had drinks which were fine but 18% was added to the bill for a "service pool". I looked it up and it is to pay wages to support staff. So had to leave another tip for server. Not happy with that. The shuttle service was very helpful and efficient.

Place was great. Very clean. A very old building but has everything you need. Very good dining/drinking options in the hotel and a very short walk away. I didn't use this option, but they are pet friendly, as is most of the town. Zero complaints. I would go back. Parking is an issue. There is none. They have a lot (free for hotel quests) a few blocks away but it is an extreme uphill walk to the hotel. Not good with luggage. They have a shuttle that you can call for, which took about 10 minutes when we arrived, but was instant when we left.

We love Eureka Springs and we were so excited to stay at the Basin Hotel. Every single staff member we interacted with were unbelievably kind and fun. We even had the surprise of having an upgraded room. Of course this is an old building, but the cleanliness was up to par. We loved grabbing a couple drinks at the bar and hanging out in the game room, it was a blast. Although we enjoyed doing our fair share of walking around town, having access to the shuttle service was such a huge benefit, that alone would make me book again.

The room was listed on our bill as a King Premium. The only thing king premium was the bed which was very comfortable. The room had one chair, no table, two dressers (not needed in a room for two people), no closet, just a shelf with hangers that blocked the one chair. Our friends who had used a different booking agent had a suite for about $100 more. Our room looked nothing like the website photo. We were quite disappointed in the room when we weren't laughing at trying to find any space for cosmetics and toothbrushes and tooth paste. We decided if our friends came over, we could sit in the shower, which was quite spacious and had a shower bench. The food was fine-the huckleberry pie was amazing-but we could have had that just by eating at the restaurant and staying at a different hotel. The parking lot system for an evening arrival is inconvenient and just a tad scary. We do not plan to return to this hotel-should have stayed where we did last time, but our friends wanted Basin.

Room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the hot tub would have been nice but was out of order. The restaurant on site was good. The jacuzzi in our room did not have working jets which was a disappointment, although we didn’t complain it would have been nice.

No, hot tub not functioning. Nothing that I paid my resort fee for was available. Parking was extra, who knows how much. My Expedia confirmation said I would pay $17 more when arriving at hotel, which is for the resort fee, but actually I had to pay $30. Nobody could explain why that was $13 more than I was told in the confirmation email. Also was told upon checkin that my activities fee would entitle me to enjoy a Prosecco by the pool. When I inquired at the front desk later, he said no, that is only on Wednesdays, today is Thursday, you make not have a complimentary Prosecco today. When I asked what the activity fee covered that I could use, all they could come up with is the shuttle. At first they said it included parking. When I said no, you are charging me $7 for parking, they said oh, well then just the shuttle. So you need to get it straight with Expedia what extra you are going to charge people when they get there, because Expedia said in writing I will be charged $17 more than I already prepaid to Expedia, but then your hotel desk insisted upon $30 additional charge.
