Eugene and Agnes Meyer Nature Preserve

I stayed here based on the positive reviews. Breakfast was great, as other travelers have mentioned. The lobby and grounds were fine. The issue was the room. We stayed in room 142. The carpet was stained in multiple places and the couch was past its prime. We kept on our flip flops, which is not something we regularly do in a hotel room. It just felt a little icky. So, unless the room is refurbished, I would be cautious.

The house was very clean and the areas was quiet too. We had a nice spot to park the car. The staff was calling and checking on me if I didn’t have any issues with the check in. They were available all the time. The only thing we will need next time if possible is the washer and dryer and extra towels because we were 5 and only got 3 towels. But overall we enjoyed the stays.

I stayed overnight for July 4th with my boys to get away and enjoy the pool. Upon checking out on Sunday to my surprise my driver side mirror was hanging off and my door hit. I went inside to inquire about camera and desk person said they're not responsible for parking lot nor can I have camera access. I had to drive home over an hour away which was hard since mirror was hanging off. Called the number to inquire and was told nothing they can do and I should go talk to the police! Very frustrating! I told them I don't live near there. But not a sympathetic ear or at least here's 20% off your next stay! No more Hilton for me because I mean nothing to them. And that room wasn't cheap overnight!
