The interior was modern and stylish, with updated appliances and a sleek, upscale feel throughout the space. "We were pleasantly surprised by the Bird Nest and enjoyed our time there very much! The house is amply supplied in all categories (dishes, cookware, towels, linens, bedding, toiletries, etc). The house was a good size, even with only 2 bedrooms and can easily accommodate 8-10 people. Beds are well equipped to the point of having additional bed-topper options (memory foam). The kitchen is huge/great! Ample seating for dinning. Bathrooms are nice and the shower pressure is great! We took our girls (English springer spaniel doodles) and they loved the big yard! We enjoyed the enclosed/fenced dog area. The property is GREAT and the location is perfect for a quiet get-away! AND did I tell you about the outstanding VIEW of the beach/lake from almost every window? Best for last is the beach... we walked for hours (with the girls) and never saw another human. We wouldn't have been able to drag ourselves away, if not for the lure of Capt. Johns' lobster bisque and sea food boil (and don't forget the cornbread)! Thanks for your hospitality, Sheri! "

"Cozy Cabin. Perfect for a couples getaway. You have about a mile and a half of a gravel road to get to the gated neighborhood and then it’s gravel throughout that. One thing to note there is not a stove or oven. So if you are wanting to make some cookies bake them before and bring them. It has a secluded balcony, Lakeview, beautiful sunsets!! The hiking trails are very well kept! We will be returning!!"
